We stayed here, for two nights, as a family of four - in Pelicano. We had a lovely time - and Cecile and family looked after us really well. They were incredibly attentive hosts. On both mornings we had our morning tea on the patio as hummingbirds visited the bush next to us. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts, with homemade bread and locally produced jams. Not to mention the fantastic bean-to-bar chocolate from their homegrown cacao. The location was great, a short distance to Tenorio Volcano Park, Rio Celeste and more. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nous sommes venus passer 2 nuits dans la finca de Cécile et sa famille et ce fut une expérience incroyable : Accueil et échanges personnalisés, cadre luxuriant un vrai havre de paix, repas sur place possibles excellents, petits déjeuners très bons également, piscine, randonnées possibles... Nous recommandons à 100% cette adresse.

En préparant notre voyage au Costa Rica, nous avions visionné l’émission « Échappées Belles » où nous avions pu découvrir la propriété de Cécile et sa famille ainsi que leur histoire. C’est suite à cette émission que nous voulions absolument faire une étape à la Finca Mei Tai. Nous n’avons pas été déçus. L’endroit est très nature et superbe avec 3 chemins de Trail avec différents niveaux de difficulté. Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées avec soin. Sans compter sur l’accueil chaleureux de Cécile, la propriétaire des lieux, avec qui nous avons adoré passer du temps à discuter et découvrir le parcours et le chemin de vie de sa famille. Passionnant. Nous recommandons vivement. Cela fut pour nous une étape très agréable avec une belle rencontre.

We had an excellent stay in this B&B. The location is amazing in the middle of the nature, very quiet.
The breakfast is great and the recommendation for local tour are very helpful.
In addition it is possible to order diner from the city that will be served in their dining room.
It was extremely convenient.

Heel vriendelijke eigenaren. Cecile en Eric hebben ons het gevoel gegeven dat we werkelijk bij hun thuis waren. Onze accommodatie was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Schoon, fris, en alles er op en er aan! Het ontbijt is met veel zorgvuldigheid samengesteld. Een t****e thuis in Costa Rica.

Absolutely everything! Mei Tai is an incredible gem in Costa Rica that should be visited by all tourists who are caring and thoughtful enough to recognize what Costa Rica is all about. Cecile and her family go out of their way to make your experience incredibly comfortable and relaxing. She takes the time from the moment you drive onto the property to personalize your stay. The piece of advice we have is listen to absolutely everything that she says. Bijauga is relatively untouched by tourists compared to some of the major attractions in Costa Rica and we hope it stays that way. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay with you! PS – try the orange bananas. They will rock your world.
