We loved our stay at this 16th century guesthouse with 21st century amenities. The double room was large, furnished with antiques, and very clean. A kettle, instant coffee and tea were provided. The receptionist was a delight - very welcoming and gave us individualized attention at all times. The hotel is easy to find and there is a spot right in front to stop and unload luggage before parking at the discounted Vincenti Garage (receptionist will give you the special key card). There is no lift, but the staff assist with luggage. The location is ideal for exploring the city on foot, and very close to the thermal baths. After a long day of exploring we decided to relax and dine in the hotel restaurant, (something we never do.) Our dinner was a highlight of the stay! Very cozy German experience. My husband had rabbit cordon bleu, I had duck confit. Both amazing! While waiting in our room for the dining room to open for dinner service, I went into the dining room and asked if I could buy a bottle of wine to enjoy in the room and then bring to dinner. A young man graciously helped me choose the wine from a vast selection, then miutes later brought it to our room with glasses, and opened it with pleasure! The breakfast buffet was abundant and also offered cook to order hot food. The only restaurant in a 10 city tour that offered German pancakes (crepes) which I adore. All in all this was my favorite hotel (out of ten) on our road trip in Germany.
