We chose this hotel based on reviews and location, but there was no one at reception when we arrived. The lady who finally came spoke neither German nor English - communication was difficult! We found a non-working fridge in the room, which was particularly annoying as we wanted to cool a bottle for my partner's birthday. There was only shower gel in the bathroom on the first day, the only trash can in the room was in the bathroom and was not emptied. The hotel also lacks air conditioning - although we received a fan upon request. The breakfast is inedible because the coffee doesn't taste good at all, the rolls have a strange aftertaste, and I only got eggs when asked after about 20 minutes. We had breakfast elsewhere on the following days, even though we had paid for it at the Hotel Bischoff. At her request, we agreed with the "housekeeper" that she would prepare our room at 2 p.m. We then adjusted our plans accordingly, but the room wasn't ready until 3:09 p.m. Only after an urgent request to the hotel management did the ladies finally come, so that our room was ready at 3:35 p.m. Meanwhile we waited on the terrace, where we were almost locked out by the maid! Check-out was also not possible in person. I then called the hotel management to let you know. Meanwhile, my partner met the housekeeper, who kindly asked whether everything was okay with the room or whether she needed to clean it? Apparently she wasn't informed about our departure! It's a shame that this birthday weekend was so marred by these circumstances. We would never have expected that because we had never found such conditions in any hotel in the world.
