Hotel Germania Gastein - Including Alpentherme Entrance

Very nice hotel in a very good location in the center of Bad Hofgastein. Very nice and competent receptionist with a nice piercing :) I can only recommend this hotel. The price also included a very good breakfast. The friendly staff makes the hotel pleasant.

Everything was perfect. The thermal baths were there on the day of arrival and departure. Thank you, everything was great!

Reviews Search reviews S H 2/5 just now on Google Access is already a challenge with 8 steps with a suitcase or stroller. The broken steps are not particularly inviting either. The staff walk around in casual clothing, so you don't know if they are guests. The reception is not particularly professional (mostly sitting at the desk playing on their cell phones with their friends). You don't get the impression that they, including the wait staff, have learned their trade. The rooms are not cleaned very thoroughly, the marble floor and carpets are crying out for cleaning. The bathroom still has the ancient furniture holders, as well as a nurse call system. The hotel does not care for furniture, nor does it have a screwdriver. The room lighting is bad. The carpet on the balcony is broken. Beds are good. There is no bar or minibar. The food is monotonous and buffet-style. The coffee and pastries were super good. There are cameras everywhere, even outside, you feel like you're being watched. We had booked 4 nights, I broke my hand on the second day and wanted to shorten it to three nights because I couldn't go skiing or to the thermal baths. The hotel demanded 100% cancellation and wouldn't budge. The hotel manager, as he was called, refused to speak to us personally. We have never experienced such inhumanity and unfriendliness from guests.

The reception and the staff are really worth mentioning, as the friendliness, service, competence, etc. are really great. Additionally, rooms next to each other, facing the spa gardens, 3rd floor, very nice!!! Breakfast was very good. This time we also booked dinner. Unfortunately we can only give it a big minus! We will never have dinner at this level again (taste, cold, unloving, etc.), but we would happily go back on various weekends!

The location is central, just a few minutes' walk from the Alpentherme. The thermal baths and cable cars were included in the price. The room was very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony was large with a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff is very friendly and helpful (especially Mr. Milenkovic at the reception). We will book this hotel again on our next Gastein vacation.

We spent a weekend in Advent and New Year's Eve in this hotel and the breakfast and service were very good! The view at breakfast was also very nice. The free entry to the thermal baths and sauna was an absolute plus. The service and friendliness at reception was very good and uncomplicated! That's how we imagine it! A small, personal disadvantage for us is that all the rooms have carpets! We would still like to visit this hotel again!
