marvellous hospitality in a family run hotel. All the staff were helpful and very friendly and the food was excellent. The spa facilities and tennis courts were well maintained and very clean and the optional daily activities were well planned and enjoyable

The hotel is beautiful and set in beautiful surroundings, with great facilities, great food and really friendly and helpful staff. We experienced some setbacks with luggage delay and illness while there but the hotel staff were so supportive. I would recommend the hotel to any family wishing to have a mountain-related holiday in winter or otherwise: we loved it!

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche über Silvester. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals sowie sie sehr gute Qualität der Speisen. Für die Kinder gibt es tolle Spiel- und Freizeitangebote. Der hoteleigene Ski-Shuttle war perfekt organisiert. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt!

Een zeer fijn hotel met vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk eten. Mooi gelegen, in tien minuten sta je met het busje van het hotel onder aan de lift. Het hotel heeft een heel groot en verwarmd ski hok waar je je rustig kunt aankleden. Er is een grote speelhal voor de kinderen en een ruim aanbod aan animatie. En een mooi sauna.

Just fantastic.. it's a paradise for the kids. Mine(4 and 6) are really enjoying the HUGE playground and pools every day. And for us parents it's also a paradise. We can have our relaxing time, eat out the delicious dinner here with peace while the kids are playing. Will continue the review soon... Still enjoying this great place.

Eine Woche Familienurlaub durften wir hier verbringen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind alle Mitarbeiter dieses familiär geführten Hotels. Alles klassisch und alte Schule, großartige Küche und tolle Möglichkeiten für die Kinder. Der regelmäßige Bustransfer zur Talstation ist sehr angenehm. Mir persönlich (männlich 55) hat der Flipperautomat Ghostbusters sehr gefallen, ich liebe alte Flipperautomaten 😁 (der linke Gummi müsste mal neu aufgezogen werden und eine Kugel ist eingeklemmt)

Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und mehr als ausreichend. Viele Möglichkeiten seine Freizeit zu gestalten sowie abwechslungsreiche Aktivitäten. ( Eisstock schießen, Weinverkostung). Wellness Bereich ist klein aber fein und sehr sauber. Einziger Kritikpunkt - zu warm im Bereich Speisesaal und Bar.

The Sonngastein is a marvellous, wonderfully equipped family hotel. It is elegant, clean, efficient and extremely comfortable.The food and service are superb. The Zitka family run a very tight ship and they and their staff cannot do enough for their guests. We have never seen so many facilities for children as well as an awesome spa. Almost every guest we met had been coming back for years, if not decades and I believe we will follow their example!
