We are just back from a week at this hotel (booked through Crystal Ski). It was fabulous. The hotel is spotlessly clean. There is secure ski/ snowboard storage and a room for boots with heaters etc. The food was plentiful and tasty with several options each evening. The ski bus stops right outside the hotel and it's only a short journey down to the gondola. It was very cool to be sploshing around in the outdoor pool surrounded by snow topped mountains. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We took this accommodation in this cute family hotel for one week skiing, at my friend's recommendation. So, we reserved half board with skipasses. The hotel is very well situated with private parking and bus stop in front of it. After daily activities at lot of ski-slopes we have usually relaxed at outside swimming-pool or in different saunas. The food was excellent - buffet continental breakfast with enough everything for everyones taste and for dinner were option for pre-order beetween 3-4 whole meals in 3 courses- starter, main,desert (including vegetarian). Room were spacios, very clean, and stuff were very very friendly, helpful and they all smiled. So we are too. Thank you. We will come again. It's very good value for money.

Had the best full body massage by Karen, she was so knowledgable. I suffer with tension headaches and she gave me some fantastic advice on managing them through massage and cupping. It really was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. My partner agrees he felt amazing after it too. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

I visited to ski in the week before Christmas and it had snowed enough for a fair bit of the Gastein Valley ( as in the 4 sections sport to dorf-gastein) to be skiable for most of the day in a mixed weather week. The hotel really suited me. The people ( family business...long may it continue) were lovely and so keen to help, especially with my non-existent German language skills. The pool- with- a- view is small but nice after a day on the fairly tough ( for their grades- in parts) pistes...as we're the saunas. Be prepared to make use of the buses (and do your homework re the timetables) if you don't have a car. The food( for a veggie) was great...I have been on a few half board ski weeks that say " caters for vegetarian "& this was the best. It would be interesting to visit during peak times( there were no queues and only a few non-solo lift trips...which were efficient as advertised) to see if the laid-back old fashioned but with enough/strong modern touches vibe still exists.

Fantastic service at a wonderful hotel with a pool
This was the perfect hotel for our family vacation of hiking in the Alps. It had the perfect location on the slopes overlooking Bad Gastein down in the valley. Located east of the valley meant that it had sunlight quite a while after the shadow of Stubnerkogel had covered the village in an early sunset.
And the outdoor pool was a blessing after a day of walking. We had good fortune with the weather, but with a pool that was heated to around 30 degrees C, that doesn’t matter. Another blessing was the Kneipp foot bath with a cold and a warm path. Our feet wouldn’t have survived the week without it.
The best thing, though, was the service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with tips about the hikes. On the day we left we had to leave early, far before breakfast started, and they still arranged a small breakfast for us.
Otherwise the breakfast was good, room spacious and the beds nice.
The only two things that weren’t perfect were:
Our room didn’t have a balcony, which would have been very nice. There was a public one, but it closed at 10. Many rooms had, but we had a family room. I don’t know if any family room had, and we had bad luck, or if the family rooms simply didn’t have it.
The hotel had a restaurant, but we wanted to try different places for dinner so we only ate there twice. And you had to go to the village to find restaurants, which means quite a steep 1 km walk back. But if you eat at the hotel that isn’t a problem.

Mi era stata confermata una stanza con vista panoramica (uno dei principali motivi per cui ho prenotato - avrei altrimenti cercato altrove, considerando il prezzo) ed è stata una vera delusione, all'arrivo, scoprire che l'unico panorama era la strada. Bagno piccolissimo che non c'è nemmeno spazio per muoversi. Tra i vari servizi inclusi nel prezzo che l' hotel promette, l'unico funzionante era una sauna minuscola. Anche la piscina è abbastanza piccola. Nemmeno una bottiglietta d'acqua di cortesia o nient'altro per farsi un semplice caffè/thè (che solitamente è il minimo che ci si aspetta di trovare in quasi tutti gli hotel, specialmente in quelli di livello superiore). Nella sala colazione, la vista è molto bella, ma per quanto riguarda il cibo, sinceramente non saprei che dire, solo che ho avuto nausea subito dopo mangiato - forse una coincidenza, e a volte non viene rifornito, dunque poca possibilità di scelta. La proprietaria più anziana è molto cordiale e premurosa. Lo stile della struttura in generale, a mio parere, andrebbe modernizzato.
