Atlantica Sancta Napa Hotel

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Rooms and public areas were described as immaculately clean and well-maintained, with attention to detail. Swim-up rooms and newer annex accommodations were noted for their modern amenities and comfort.

We have just completed our 10 night stay at the Atlantica Santa Napa. I will start with positives first; The hotel is set in a great location, only a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to Ayia Napa centre to all restaurants, bars and clubs. Food at the hotel is great with lots of choice for everyone and very tasty too, however the breakfast choice gets repetitive. Staff at the restaurant and pool area work really hard especially the lady at the snack bar serving food all day long very quickly in this sweltering heat. To the negatives; We stayed in a family room which was nothing as shown on the pictures, the room is very tired, furniture is literally coming apart, especially the wardrobe and bedside chests. The desk was scratched and chipped. The bathroom is an absolute disgrace, mould in the shower area, the shower head itself needs replacing as it’s covered in limescale. The pool resembles a jacuzzi as the water is way too hot. We found this unacceptable as you rely on the pool to cool you down in the hot weather. There is no aircon is the hotel lobby area, we found this most annoying as we needed to wait a few hours for our airport transfer. You are literally waiting and sweating, not on for a 4 star hotel. The white tables and chairs near the entertainment stage were visibly rusty, again not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Beware, the room key cards scramble themselves when placed next to mobile phones or devices. This particular issue has never in my experience happened in any other hotel we have stayed at, this wasn’t explained well enough by staff until it happened for the fourth time. The shoe policy at the evening meal doesn’t make any sense, you’re not allowed to wear flip flops, sliders and Crocs even if they are clean and not covered in sand etc. This is because the evening meal takes place in the same dinner hall where breakfasts and lunch is served which allow you to wear any type of footwear. Please take note of this as the policy is not mentioned when booking the hotel via EasyJet or other tour package operators. What was worse, hotel management rudely pulled me up on this more than once, even when I kindly explained I didn’t have any other footwear on me due to this policy not being communicated before hand. What was worse, several other people wearing sliders and flip flops continued to be let in unchallenged. I felt to be made a victim and created a lot of anxiety when you are meant to be relaxing on holiday. All in all I wouldn’t rate this as a four star hotel, they definitely need to refurbish the family rooms. Would we return to this hotel? I don’t think so!

Absolutely loved everything about this place and staff is incredible and so helpful.We had dietary requirements (gluten free) and the kitchen staff catered for us especially chef Marianna Makromatti. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this hotel.
