On our three-week Alentejo round trip by bike, we also made a stage stop in Aviz. We chose the "Casa da Moira" not least because of the excellent reviews on the Internet, although the prices were above average. To the owner's credit, she went out of her way to accommodate an early check-in and early morning meal. Since we could only travel with little luggage on the Alentejo tour, we were instructed to wash our clothes. We usually hang the laundry "hidden" so it doesn't spoil the holiday mood. But when we saw the sometimes poor condition the buildings were in (mold, peeling paint, bird and dog droppings, spider webs) and what was lying around "behind the scenes", we obviously let the laundry dry. The owner's daughter instructed us immediately to let the laundry disappear. Comment: If so much importance is attached to etiquette, we would have expected more cleanliness and order in the area. Our apartment urgently needs a renovation, musty, moldy, partly unappetizing. The price-performance ratio is therefore not correct at all. Dinner is also mediocre and the wines offered are very, very simple. The breakfast, on the other hand, met our expectations. In summary: A house that has disappointed us very much, which promises more on the homepage photos than it holds.
