Avila Pismo RV Resort and Campground

Woke up to the invasion of the ANTS!! Smelled old and musty in the room had to go get incense to kill the smell and the extra money I spent for a "fireplace in the room" was a joke! It was a 39.95$ plug in tiny, tiny fireplace that maybe was a lighter now that I think about it!! Ha ha ha.....well that was a first and last!

It's a great place..very hard to leave because it's wonderful. I planned on staying 4 nights but ended up adding 5 more nights..lol. I'll definitely be back

Friends weekend Loved the idea of doing a little “glamping” this weekend. However glamping would not be a word that describes this. The only reason I can think that this property gets an excellent rating is for the campground. The area for trailers was in nice condition. The property had a lot of amenities for kids and families and this is definitely a place I would stay if we still had our trailer. Staff was pleasant and the grounds are well taken care of. The little cabins for rent are another story. Upon arrival to ours, there was a cigarette butt in the rails of the sliding door. It just got worse from there. The unit was filthy. Spilled sticky mess on the floor, carpet so stained we wouldn’t walk on it without shoes and bedroom with twin bunks was nothing but a closet. We immediately went to go buy blankets to cover the couch as it felt so dirty to even sit on. The unit had an overpowering smell of cleanser, which was used in the bathroom. It was clean, but the towel rack would fall if a towel was placed on it. The bed was very small, but we managed there and the sheets were clean. Overall, this isn’t a place for us. The level of filth on the floors and walls was too much. It is super used, evident by the condition of the furniture and walls, so it must work for many people, just not us.
