Simple stylish accommodation within traditional stone cottages in the middle of this magical hilltop village. The view from the roof terrace of No 3 is panoramic - from the sea to the mountains, and amazing for stargazing. George provides lovely buffet breakfast of local produce in the adjacent breakfast room, and is an absolute mine of local knowledge and friendly guidance.

Beautiful traditional stone cottages! Very clean and cozy rooms well equipped. Ideal for every season especially winter. Great hospitality and really delicious breakfast with local products! Thank you George! We will definitely see you again!

We were so happy to find such a special accomodation in the middle of the winter when we were looking for a really quiet spot which had also a beautiful view on the Aegean from the rooftop, with a very professional, generous and friendly host.

“Spitaki” (little home) is not only a cottage it is a whole experience with minutious and tasteful details with a sense of human touch in continuous commitment to nature. Spitaki is also a concrete case of history living today! Worth to try...

Oh my God !!! What a great place to stay for get aways… George is a super host. The rooms are clean and spacious. The village is very romantic and I recommend this to everyone…. My favorite place in Chios… if you like nature and want to have a quaint quality time; the address is right here…

We stayed in Spitakia 3 which has a great roof terrace with spectacular views. The old stone cottages are sympathetically converted and are comfortable with all mod cons. The owner, George, is knowledgeable about the natural history of the area, helpful and will lead walks to places of interest. He can also provide breakfast. Avgonymna is a very attractive village a few kilometres from the west coast and some beautiful beaches. It is convenient for Chios Town and visiting other places on the island. A hire vehicle is a must as the bus service almost non-existent.

Ο εξωτερικός χώρος πανέμορφος. Μόλις εισέλθετε στο δωμάτιο διακρίνετε αμέσως τη λεπτομέρεια και το λεπτό και ακριβό γούστο του ιδιοκτήτη. Το καλωσόρισμα από το Γιώργο μας γύρισε σε άλλες εποχές, με φιλοξενία και σεβασμό στους επισκέπτες. Σημαντικό ότι ενώ έξω είχε ζέστη το δωμάτιο ήταν εξαιρετικά δροσερό.

Spitakia è diventato un punto d’incontro di amici. Intimo, raccolto, pulitissimo, è l’ideale per scoprire tutta la sorprendente isola di Chios, le sue spiagge, la sua storia, i suoi profumi. È una sistemazione perfetta per chi ama atmosfere suggestive, uniche e fuori dai luoghi comuni. Dal 2019 siamo tornati per la terza volta, l’ospitalità di George ci ha conquistati ancora una volta, la sua compagnia ci ha fatto scoprire ancora altri segreti dell’isola. Tutto perfetto!
