Holiday Inn Express & Suites Woodbridge

I'm going to get right to the point and tell you that the service provided by the this hotel was incredible BAR NONE. From the first day at check-in, every person we encountered met the need with kindness and efficiency. So for background, my husband and I have 4 children from ages 2 to 14. So we are used to experiencing aggravations and the value of patience, especially when traveling. So when you are staying a a place and have need - what's one more unmet request that you have to nag for? WELL NOT HERE. You call for extra towels, they arrive. Need access to the pool? Done. Breakfast bar stocked with palatable choices and replenished? Yes. AND complimentary bottled water. Remember I said - 4 kids. The accommodations were perfectly fine and certainly clean but the STAFF - that's where you hit the jackpot ;) If you need the stress-free focus, this is your spot.

Holiday Inn This is my second time staying at this Holiday Inn Express in Woodbridge. They were able to check me in right away at 3pm when I arrived. They fulfilled my request of a high floor. After arriving in my room I noticed that the television didn’t work at all. I didn’t have time to deal with it since I had to be somewhere. The next morning I went down for breakfast and happened to run into Debbie Pizolla at the front desk who was an area manager for multiple properties in the area including this one. She asked how my stay was and I explained to her about the TV and also told her my coffee maker must have not been used in a while because the water reservoir appeared moldy. She immediately offered me a new room, and asked Josh to look into when a room would be free. I went to breakfast and by the time I was back Josh handed me a key to a new room only 2 doors down. He also personally checked to make sure everything in the room was satisfactory. The new room was a huge improvement for sure. This was great customer service to make a loyal IHG Platinum Elite Member extremely happy. This property is in a perfect location not far from the GS Parkway with tons of dining and shopping nearby. They also offer complimentary breakfast, coffee, bottles of water and free parking which is wonderful! The property is centrally located from Staten Island, Newark Airport & South Jersey with minimal tolls. I highly recommend this location if you are staying in the Woodbridge/Avenel area. Everyone at his hotel does an amazing job, please keep up the great work!!

great hotel, super clean, breakfast bar big variety, breakfast bar lady very nice person, personnel of the hotel very nice. if i need to travel again to this area i will be returning to this same hotel!

We are currently staying at this hotel. Day 4 and no hot water yet. We have complained every morning and also last night. They keep saying they will have maintenance look at it but that can't be true. Other people staying also let us know they didn't have hot water. We can't take a sink bath because they don't supply wash cloths or hand towels. Not to mention that the sink water is also cold. They said the towels keep getting stolen so they don't supply them. The beds are hard and crunchy sounding. I guess the sound is from a mattress protector but there are mattress protectors available that aren't noisy. The room is clean but housekeeping doesn't come by every day. The window shade the blocks out light will not raise more than roughly two feet. I guess that is better than not being able to use it. We only have a view of a fence so that doesn't matter. I generally rate a room by how well I can sleep and how nice my shower is. This place fails on both.

Stayed 2 nights, two rooms. Large mobs of unaccompanied children were running up and down the hallways all night. Security did nothing. Hotel admitted the problem but IHG “doesn’t give monetary refunds.” So you pay for a night of sleep that you don’t get. Breakfast cereal (fruit loops) were left in the elevator and hallways. I would suggest choosing a different hotel.

Where to start..I guess at check in. Arrived at the hotel around 3 pm and was told to wait in lobby until they could find a room. Very chaotic and disorganized but the clerk was new. When we got to the room we wanted to watch specific programs that were on MSNBC. Looked at the printed guide and found that the channels were all scrambled and no MSNBC. I went to front desk and was told that they changed providers and half the channels were removed. I told the clerk we would probably check out the next day. He assured me that a manager would contact me the next day. Never happened. Decided to stay and called housekeeping the next morning to make sure our room was made up..never happened. When we came home I encountered the ONLY bright spot with this hotel…Jessica at the front desk! She is amazing! Next day I asked front desk to make sure our two rooms were serviced..nope..only one had housekeeping. There are many, many hotels close by…we have to go back to Woodbridge this weekend and are staying at the Hampton Inn..we will never go back to this hotel.
