We booked a one bedroom suite for three nights over a weekend in late June and were very disappointed in the quality of the room. The room was drab and dated, had random old furniture, and did not even have a freezer (something you would expect from a summertime beach rental). Our friends paid the same and reserved the same room type and their room was so much better in terms of having a full size refrigerator and freezer and more updated and nicer furniture and layout (even on the same exact floor plan as they were one floor above us). For paying about $500 a night we were very disappointed and would not recommend it to others. I understood the units are individually furnished and there would be variation but that quality difference was extreme in the two units our friends and us rented and should have been priced differently. I raised my complaints with the staff after we arrived and asked to switch rooms and we were told they were fully booked and given no apology or compensation. The location is great and the pool area was nicely maintained but we will never be back.

First off, the staff here is wonderful. Great folks who try very hard to take care of their guests. The location is also excellent as you can walk to the beach in 3 minutes and it is only about a mile to Stone Harbor. The stay is very dependent on the room you get. Our room looked like it had not been updated in decades and was probably the worst thing I have seen in decades as well. The owner should be ashamed for putting something like this on the market. If you stay here, make sure that you know EXACTLY what room you are getting.

WARNING!! DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION AT THIS PROPERY!! I booked a 1BR Unit at the Beachcomber for a family trip this summer and got full confirmation and receipt for payment from not only the booking website I used - but I also received a welcome e-mail from a host of the Beachcomber property. Under the assumption I then had a completely confirmed reservation at the Beachcomber Resort, I then went ahead and booked over $2,000 in non-refundable travel arrangements under the confidence that there was no possible way my reservation could be cancelled. Well, much too my shock and dismay, the property then turned around a full day later and cancelled my entire reservation with the excuse that the booking website should not have allowed the reservation to go through because they actually didn't have a room available for my family on those dates. Please note that Beachcomber Resort had several other available listings on all the major travel websites for those exact dates when I was booking my reservation - so this is obviously some sort of "Bait & Switch" scam going on that this property. So, you've been warned, they can and will arbitrarily just go ahead and cancel your reservation - stay away !!!

Great location, comfy, spacious stay
Overall, our unit was very clean, spacious, and nice. Also, there were many extras like Keurig coffeemaker, with coffee pods, dishwasher, stove, ice trays. Two TV’s-in living area and in the bedroom! First day pool had leaves/bugs in it, second day was clean. Hot tub was good. Great location—1 block to brewery/restaurant and the beach!

Beautiful safe quiet property. Beachcomber was the perfect space for a long weekend for a family of four. Space was clean and beautifully decorated it was a close walk to the beach and downtown. We will definitely come back.
