Quality Inn Austintown-Youngstown West

Clean and nice enough. Did have an odd odor in the rooms tho (masking smoke??). Had smudges on the bed sheet after housekeeping but was given fresh sheets. Clean otherwise. Good bathroom.

I will start by saying the hotel desk staff that we encountered were very friendly and welcoming and the bed was comfortable. I would give this hotel 2-3 stars overall though. The hotel was relatively clean but showed it's age. We had planned to stay two nights but our room smelled very musty and the smell got worse any time the AC kicked on. We ended up leaving some of our luggage in the car so it wouldn't take on the smell of the room. The doors to the room and the bathroom were difficult to open and close, I think due to the age of the building. The shower water was nice and hot but the room smell made it hard to feel completely clean. The website advertised a hot breakfast, but the only hot item was a waffle maker. (They did have refrigerated breakfast sandwiches that could be heated in a microwave) This hotel was one driveway off the highway so very convenient for us, however also very convenient for truck drivers and we heard a lot of noise from trucks driving in and out. Finally, the curtains did not have black out shades. The parking lot was very well lit which is a plus for security, however it meant even in the middle of the night we had quite a bit of light coming into our room. The price of the room was very reasonable and it was fine for one night, but the helpful desk staff helped us cancel our second night and we chose to continue our trip and stay elsewhere the next night.

We just stayed at this property for 2 nights. We were put in a room on the second floor, because there weren’t any available on the first floor. But, the parking lot was consistently empty. The noise, all day, all night was stupid! Housekeeping (a.k.a. the owners), started cleaning, knocking on doors, at 7am! Stupid! The room…where do I begin. The bathtub was disgusting, we were in town to attend an event, so I had to take a shower. Joke was on me. If you wanted hot water, it came out in a dribble. I took a very fast cold shower. Then I went to use the hair dryer. Jokes on me again! Didn’t work. No one at the desk to help. The furniture is sad and outdated. Very uncomfortable. But here’s the biggest deal.. when I checked in, I had to “initial” all these mandates… —- no smoking, if caught, $200 fine —-no candles, if caught, $20 fine —-no pets, if caught…blah, blah, blah… I think we should bring our own mandates that the business should initial. ——if room is dirty, the room is free ——if things are not working, the room is free ——if you are not fully satisfied, the room is free. Just do yourself a favor, don’t stay here.

Though a bit tired and worn, this hotel is clean, with a friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Comfort-height toilets were greatly appreciated for aching knees, and fans in the bathroom are a small but thoughtful addition. The beds were incredibly comfortable, rivaling those of a luxury hotel. The continental breakfast has something for everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean. Smokey smell for a non-smoking room. TV control missing back panel and not working. Breakfast was just about the saddest we've ever seen. Juice not working. A couple boxes of cereal. Had to request yogurt. Staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful.

Hotel is a no frills average hotel. Very nice customer service at check-in. No elevator and only stairs to the second floor. Breakfast was minimal but nice in the morning. Only hot thing is waffle. Room was clean but drapes let outside light in so a little difficult to sleep.

The lobby was under construction and a total mess. We had two rooms and were billed under HAMPTON BY HILTON, expensive at $186.00 each. THEN we got charged an additional $175.00 from QUALITY INN. A phone call to the front desk resulted in a promise of refund of the $186.00 x 2. NOT. After 2 months of back & forth we finally got our $175.00 forgiven by credit card company. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hotel was dirty and gross. After checking in and going to the room, I couldn’t bring myself to stay there so I left and went to a different hotel.
