Stayed last minute in Austin to have dinner with a friend. Checked out the Austin Motel for the night. It was cute and comfy! Walked across the street for sushi at Lucky Robot, had Amy’s ice cream, and sat outside on a beautiful night in the courtyard. Perfect! Great pool, great location!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience—even before we arrived! The onsite staff sent us a thoughtful text asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay special, which set a great tone. We arrived around 11 AM, and while our room wasn’t quite ready, we were offered early check-in for a small fee. Alternatively, the front desk kindly stored our luggage so we could relax by the pool. Throughout our stay, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. We absolutely loved the retro vibes of the entire property—it added a unique charm that made our visit truly memorable. JoAnn’s next door was perfect for dinner—we loved their menu options and how they carried the retro theme seamlessly into the dining experience. Jo’s, across the street, was our go-to for breakfast tacos and coffee—delicious and super convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, stylish getaway with great food options just steps away!

A classic for a reason!! Austin Motel has been legendary forever, and since Bunkhouse took it over it's even cuter and more fun than ever. Will 100% return!

This is a great retro stay. Love the feel. Comfortable, relaxed. The pool was fun. Just a great travel experience that just feels good.

Amazing! Loved the retro vibe that made my stay so special and nostalgic! So much attention to detail around the property and in the rooms to make you feel so at home! The staff add so much to your stay as they are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and helpful!

We landed here after our flight from LA and were greeted by lovely, kind, and helpful staff. The lobby is super cute and full of Austin tchotchkes. Our room was clean and we really appreciated the rustic robes. The room was pretty simple and utilitarian. I’m a bit of a sucker for uber comfy places, so I’m not sure if I’d return. However, it was great to check this stay off my Austin bucket list!

The perfect getaway for our family. The entire staff/team is friendly and accommodating! Was able to upgrade our room last minute with no hassles. We always enjoy our stay when in Austin. PS - the mattresses are chefs kiss. Literally the best nights sleep! I would sneak it home in my luggage if I could
