Wow. This place is not up to Hyatt standards at all. I realize Hyatt House is a budget brand, but...First, clerk could not find our reservation at check-in. Weird. As basic a booking as it gets -- made via Hyatt app at "member rate" more than a week in advance. Finally found it. No recognition of status, had to ask for complimentary water that goes with Discoverist status. OK. No big deal. Go to room, unpack, settle in and discover clumps of human hair on the carpet by the desk. Wow. Somebody gave themselves a haircut in the room, and nobody cleaned it up. Closer inspection showed the floor had not been vacuumed at all -- rest of room was relatively clean, they just forgot to vacuum. That's kind of a big deal, but we cleaned up hair ourselves because we had already unpacked and settled in. Had takeout for dinner, and noticed swarm of sugar ants on kitchen counter within minutes of placing food there. Gross. Then the biggest complaint -- lack of hot water. First shower, in evening of arrival, had acceptably hot water, but only after allowing shower to run for more than 5 minutes as it slowly inched its way from cold to warm to semi-hot. Whatever. Second shower, hours later, had no hot water. None. Cold. Third shower, on morning of departure, had no hot water, None. Cold. That's flat-out unacceptable. I was asked how stay was at checkout, and I said, truthfully, that it was terrible and recited the reasons. Got a half-hearted apology and nothing more. When I inquired about some sort of compensation, as in points or a discount or a comped stay, was told that would have to be done by a manager and that they would contact me. Clerk confirmed my email and phone number. That was a week ago. I have not heard a thing from a manager or anyone else.
