The Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Downtown is a good choice if you want to be in downtown Austin close to the shops and restaurants. It’s a little strange because it’s connected to the Marriot Courtyard hotel and you check-in at the Courtyard hotel for the Residence Inn. It’s also good for those who have a longer stay because there is a small kitchenette. We had a view on the 12th floor of the Westin across the street which was great. There is a pool but I didn’t use it because the water was cold. I didn’t like the breakfast buffet other than the scrambled eggs. Overall, this is a solid hotel choice in Downtown Austin.

Great hotel with kitchenette that is clean and well stocked. Could use an ice bucket. The free breakfast was probably the best I ever had. I don’t know how they made their scrambled eggs but they were the best ever.

I last time I stayed at this Residence Inn was 2012. At that time, I remember having a good experience. This time around, it was GREAT. The service is extraordinary. Barbra at the front desk went above and beyond to be sure my friend and I were comfortable and had everything we needed. Any other staff members we encountered in our five day stay were just as wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic, so many options and it never felt overly crowded. We had a one bedroom suite and it was a perfect fit for our needs. The common areas are also great. Comfy seating to do work or have a coffee. Also, everything is in walking distance, we did not need a car. I’ll be coming back every October and I won’t even bother to look at other hotels in the area. What a fantastic stay! Thank you.

I requested the receipt and was given a receipt of USD 504.84 + USD 1,009.68 = USD 1,514.52
What does this difference of USD 304.55 mean?
I don’t understand.

Great hotel
The hotel is absolutely fantastic. It’s in walking distance of so many things and the amenities are great. Parking is expensive but there’s street parking directly in front of the hotel

It was so nice and very comfortable to stay for a week. Breakfast was good and the staffs were so kind with full of smile.
