It a cosy little hotel in a small Valais village. Good breakfast, room a bit dated, but clean. Village is cool but there is nothing to do at night, not even a place to eat. I wish the hotel offered a restsurant for diner as well, it would be a good idea there

This hotel is a scam. It still states on many websites (Like **********) that there is a restaurant. Which is not the case. We had to go to Brig for dinner (15 minutes by ... train). We arrive at 16:15. It states no reception which is true, but it does not state that the computer system does not send you the actual reservation number. So we were lucky the owner was around.... Similarly, the room on mountain side, is on the main street - very noisy and the room, albeit clean - had a carpet with a huge burnt stain. We could not figure out if breakfast was included so we abstained as the overall place is extremely pricey for the service and condition of the hotel.

Even though we are (almost) in the plain, this hotel has everything of a mountain nest. Everything is wooded and the welcome is as rustic as it is friendly. Hearty breakfast, pleasant room with balcony and TV available. Please note the hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so you have to go down to eat. Train station and bus a few meters away. Ausserberg seems to be a very pretty hamlet too.
