Hotel Auronzo - Outdoor Basecamp

We stayed three nights over the Ferragosto holiday in a double room. The friendliness of the entire staff was beyond excellent, but it's a shame it's not worth the price. It's an OLD hotel and somewhat rundown. The amenities offered are breakfast and cleanliness, in addition to the friendliness of the entire staff: nothing to complain about. €250 per night for a double room seems excessive, considering that only breakfast is offered and there are no other amenities such as a pool, saunas, or relaxation areas.

Pros: Location very close to the center and a stone's throw from the lake, ample parking adjacent to the property, friendly and helpful staff, bar and relaxation room with TV, billiards, and cards, wide variety of breakfast options, gorgeous room with lake view, overall cleanliness. Cons: Bathtub with sliding panels that convert to a shower. Rather uncomfortable. Overall, the bathroom is a bit dated. Stained ceiling in the room. If these things were fixed, everything would be perfect!

Struttura in ottima posizione, a pochi passi dal lago, in centro Auronzo. La camera era spaziosa con balcone vista lago. Prima colazione con scelta sufficiente tra dolce e salato. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Per essere un 4 stelle però avrebbe bisogno di qualche manutenzione in più sia nelle camere che nell'area esterna dove c'è anche il parcheggio.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui dal 22 al 25 agosto. Hotel con evidente necessità di essere ristrutturato: le parti decorate in legno completamente da rifare, balcone scrostato con parapetto oscillante con seri rischi di cedimento (bambino di 5 anni tenuto a debita distanza). Giardino malcurato con campo da tennis e da bocce che hanno visto momenti migliori; forse in auge negli anni '60 ma ora ricoperti da erbacce! Bagno cieco, con aspiratore non funzionante e gravi problemi di scarico e, nonostante ciò sia stato fatto presente alla reception, la situazione è rimasta invariata. Al momento della cena si scatenava la rissa per accaparrarsi il pezzo migliore degli antipasti che, se non fosse stato per il maitre gentilissimo, non sarebbe stato possibile assaggiare quasi niente. Ma il bello doveva ancora arrivare. Da accordi telefonici intercorsi ( con prenotazione di ben 3 camere) avevamo preventivato un check out anticipato pagando il 12% in più per ogni notte trascorsa nella struttura. Al momento del check out il Direttore ci ha costretto a pagare sia la notte non passata in hotel, sia la cena non consumata. Ad una camera soltanto è stato fatto pagare il dovuto come da accordi telefonici. Alle nostre lamentele, il Direttore ci ha prontamente sventolato davanti agli occhi il contratto in cui si parlava di pagamento completo in caso di check out anticipato. Essendo tutti in famiglia abituati a viaggiare e a soggiornare negli alberghi più disparati siamo rimasti veramente male nel ricevere un simile trattamento nella nostra Bella Italia! Concludendo: struttura sicuramente da non consigliare...e ricordate Verba volant ( purtroppo) Scripta manent!

Hotel si trova in ottima posizione sia rispetto al lago che al centro paese. La struttura avrebbe bisogno di essere ristrutturata specialmente nei bagni. Il personale è gentile e professionale.Non abbiamo apprezzato il buffet di antipasti a inizio cena che se non arrivavi all'apertura della sala rimaneva vuoto.

I'm speaking about the situation I encountered during a 2-night stay in July 2024. I don't know if the hotel has since been fully maintained, if not renovated, and, most importantly, if it has changed management. At the time of our stay, the property was in terrible condition. Its best days were years ago. The rooms and bathrooms have certainly been updated over time, but the overall effect is definitely not 4-star. The quality of the beds and mattresses is appalling. The shutters and balcony railings are peeling. The garden is neglected. The front and back terraces are unsightly. Our bathroom was dirty, with clogged toilets. The staff, although well-intentioned (such as, for example, Mrs. Sara at the front desk, with whom we shared all the problems we encountered), were untrained. The food and service in the dining room and at the table were inconsistent with the hotel's category. Last but not least: despite email reminders, they never issued or subsequently sent us a receipt for the amount we paid, citing IT issues. It's absolutely essential to verify any changes made before staying at this hotel.
