When I entered my room, all the lights were on as well as the TV. The bathroom had been used, soap package opened and washcloth on counter. Also a an opened Fedex package was on top of the desk. I notified the front desk but they didn't have any other rooms to move me too. I went to dinner while they re-cleaned the room. When I returned, my room key didn't work...it was stressful and I didn't sleep well. When I checked out, the gentleman at the front desk did apologize but never offered a reduction or future offer. Not cool!

I have stayed in various Comfort Inns for the last 6 years while visiting Maine always finding consistency. This one was no where near the others I have stayed in. While the front desk staff were wonderful. Rooms, hallways, common areas run down, outdated, dirty. Elevator was old, creaky, dirty so decided to take the stairs which were dirty and rundown. The room itself was old, worn, and rundown but seemed ok until we saw mattress. No cover, turn, dingy, and very old. We would have just gone somewhere else but had arrived later in the day after very long drive but we definitely didn’t stay another night nor would we even consider staying there again. They did offer breakfast which was good but good breakfast and front staff don’t make a great stay. The room cleanliness and comfort is the top priority and this comfort inn fails at that. We spent less than 6 hours in the 2 rooms we had because just sleeping on those mattresses and in the rooms made us uneasy. Disappointed to see comfort inn would let one of there properties become this run down.

All expectations were met or exceeded. The room was clean & comfortable. The internet worked great. The hot breakfast was good. There is a very good restaurant next door, so you don't have to drive to get a good dinner. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The building and facilities are quite dated when you enter, but the beds and furniture inside the rooms are a little more updated. Breakfast is very average (I've definitely had better, and they don't refill towards the end). Front desk staff can be hit or miss, some are very friendly.

No mattress covers, broken closet, run down room, lots of pulls in the sheets. Only redeeming quality is how nice the front desk staff are. The pool looks okay. Our floor is dusty. AC doesn't work well

Room attendance banged on the door very loudly one at 10:35 the other one at 10:48 started to open the door both times I explained to them we will be leaving a little before 11:00 it did not matter they were very rude and obnoxious. It did not matter that I had the do not disturb sign on the door knob they wanted us out and out immediately. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

There was a power outage due to high winds in the area. It lasted several hours which was inconvenient but couldn't be helped. The desk clerk, Amanda, was calm and collected during this time when guests all around were losing their tempers. I appreciated her diplomacy during the afternoon and evening.

When I checked in to the hotel I was assigned a room on the first floor. My wife always checks for bed bugs. When she did she found no bedbugs but also no mattress pad. I complained and was moved to another room on the third floor. It didn’t have a mattress pad either. I asked the front desk what they planned on doing. There was no answer except they were short of mattress pads. I asked to speak to the manager. The desk person went into the back and I understand called the manager. He then told me the manager asked him to check two other empty rooms and if they didn’t have mattress pads either they could give me back my money. I waited and was advised the other two rooms did not have pads either. I got my money credited back and found another hotel on my own for the night. There was little thought given to my inconvenience including my moving the luggage rack from the first floor to the third and back to my car. The hotel I got on my own with no help from the choice hotel was a hampton inn and it was also $20 cheaper and much more modern. I have used choice hotels for years and have a rewards card. I think I was treated very poorly.

Very close to the University of Maine and the Civic Center. Right off of Route I-95. Plenty of parking. Safe area. Clean room. Friendly front desk. Good climate control. NOTE: The SE corner of Ninety Nine Restaurant is literally butt-up against the NW end of the hotel. Unless, you like the smell of food in your hotel room, avoid ALL rooms in the north wing of the hotel. Request any room other than 100 to I think 110. YMMV on the other floors.
