Not exactly as advertised
We booked a deluxe bungalow. It says it has 2 queen beds 1 twin single and 1 fold out sofa bed. It did not. It had 1 queen and 1 twin. When I queried they said they do have have a bungalow with 2 queens and that they will bring a second roll or twin bed. Advertising needs to change needs to change as it is false.
Woolworths is right across the road which is handy. Quiet and bungalow was comfy enough but dated.

The young Lady in reception was friendly, the unit was in need of an update. However I was comfortable and the unit was spotless.
For the cost the accommodation was good value

To be honest, this is what you can expect from a motel with a price they asked and I was not expecting a lot. What I really liked that was the fact that the family units were stand alone units with a small deck. It was a quiet motel and still close to takapuna beach. Less than 10 minutes walk. The owner/caretaker works hard, but does not speak English. We did not have problems, but communication is difficult. The bed in the living room needs replacement. The Iron spirals come through. We used the duvet of the main bed as extra cover. There were not a lot of kitchen utensils. And as in most of the motels, pans need replacement. Shower/bathroom were probably just renovated and were good. Every day new towels and service. If you just look for a place to sleep and on a budget, this is a good place.

Easy commuting into Auckland via bus. Comfortable stay, very quiet and only a few minutes walk into Takapuna

This property seems to be emerency housing and when we were there, there was an incident when police had to be called on a semi permanent resident. We were meant to stay for three nights but checked out after one... would not recommend for anyone especially children.
