Bucklands Beach Waterfront Motel

Exceptionally friendly staff provide excellent service. Lovely waterfront location near beach, with easy access to amenities. Consistently high cleanliness standards ensure guest comfort.

We were allocated a “chalet” in the back corner with a view of the car park on one side and another unit on the other. We had two tiny decks that offered no privacy or amenity. Inside was cramped and had an assortment of mis-matched and ill fitting curtains, blinds and furniture. There was an overpowering smell of cheap air freshener. The “bedroom” was up a flight of stairs to a mezzanine floor that had a bed and built in cupboards that you had to get down on your knees to open. At least the bed had clean linen and was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and had no toiletries, although there were empty bottles in the shower. Towels were thin and worn. We didn’t use the tiny kitchenette apart from making tea, and it felt very tired and in need of a good scrub. It is across the road from a beach which is narrow and shelly. We found a cafe nearby but there didn’t seem to be much else around.
