The better hotels in Auckland are InterContinental and Park Hyatt, and InterContinental is more recommended. Overall stay was very good with only exception that the house keeping staff neglected to clean the room and it took 2 complaints before the room was cleaned.
Service and food at Intercontinental Club was excellent. Better than teh Sydney intercontinental.

I have stayed in many InterContinental hotels. This one is relatively new and has a good location. It is located in the CBD.
