Room wan not clean. Greasy fingerprints on the windows. Breakfast is a joke. One person working the counter for a game day Saturday. Tables not bussed. Took over 45 minutes to get food. Simple requests ignored. Just stop advertising breakfast and clean the hotel. Disappointed.

Clerk and general manager were extremely rude upon check-in. Would not resolve issue or give number for next in line manager. Umit Ughayr or something like that is the GMs name. He said that I called his clerk sh*t… that did NOT happen, and he repeatedly said this. I DID tell him that their service was sh*t, which it absolutely was. I have stayed in Marriott properties exclusively for years. This will be my last stay in a Marriott property.

The check in process was very difficult and lengthy. The clerk seems to be very confused with a simple check in. I reserved two rooms, one for my in-laws. When checking in the in-laws card somehow was used for both rooms. This should be a simple debit/credit correction. I called four times. The first time I was told to call back later when they were not busy. The second time I was told that the manager would have to call me back. The third time there was no answer. The fourth time I spoke to the manager who explained that I would have to complete a “payment authorization form” and it would take 4 to 6 days to complete. He emailed me the form which I completed and followed up with at return email. I received confirmation email saying he would complete the debit/credit and send me confirmation. It has been more than 10 days and I have not received the debit/credit, a confirmation that it has been done or a return email or phone call to my latest attempts to contact them. I stay 100+ nights in hotels per year and this is by far has been the most difficult to resolve a simple issue. I am hoping that I get this resolved soon. I would recommend the Tru by Hilton next door or Hampton across the street.

The hotel is finishing up a great renovation. The rooms and halls are freshly done and the hotel is very clean for being at the tail end of a remodel. We stayed for grad weekend so the hotel was at capacity. My only complaint is that even with the grad gauging rate the hotel didn't seemed to be staffed to handle the influx. We all knew when graduation was going to be held, the hotel was booked solid so hire up some temporary help. After paying 4X the standard rate there should be enough profit to staff the hotel accordingly.

After being in Auburn all day and not feeling awake enough to make a drive home I decided to book a room. I didn't have much to choose from because every hotel in the area seemed to be full (on a weeknight) and prices were sky-high! The outside of the Marriott was clean and well-lit and generally felt like a safe area. The entrance from the main road was not lit up and was difficult to see. Check-in was easy, but the desk person lacked in personality or hospitality. She was just doing her job. I knew before booking that this hotel does not serve complimentary breakfast. I usually choose hotels with breakfast because 1. We pay a lot of money to stay at these establishments 2. My kids love to pick different things (like making their own waffles) to eat that we normally wouldn't make at home. 3. It's convenient. Nonetheless, no breakfast at this Marriott, unless you visit their bar area and order and pay for food. A guest checking in ahead of me asked about breakfast - I knew exactly what he was asking. The woman checking him in pointed (at the bar) and said it's over there from (this time to that time) not once saying it isn't included. I bet he was in for a surprise the next morning. As for the room, it was clean and smelled good, unlike many hotels I've stayed in. It's your standard room, but slightly larger than most. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows and the sheets were soft - win! The bathroom had a large open shower and plenty of hooks and towel racks. Only 1 coffee cup which sucks when you have more than 1 person in your room who wants coffee. And it looked like someone had spit in the coffee maker - people are nasty! Why??? Also, the mini fridge had something growing in it which I presumed was black mold. As a word of caution for anyone traveling with small children, the window in our room could be slid open easily. I've never stayed in a hotel where the windows actually opened. Clean. Comfortable. Safe. No complimentary breakfast.

1 star bc I can’t give a 0. Also a horrible experience with Marriott Didn’t get to stay here as they tried to not honor my reservation and charge me a higher rate bc they could not give me the room I booked (weird, I know). Booked a 2 queen room around 11pm and got there after 12 and was told they didn’t have my room type and only had a King room. Didn’t love it but was ok with it as it was past midnight and needed a room for my family. The front desk associate then tried to charge me a rate $50 more than I had booked because “she can’t change the room type in my reservation”. Most bizarre thing ever. She refused to honor my rate and said “take it or you can leave” in a rude, disrespectful manner. We, of course, left and chose to go to a different hotel. We filed a customer service complaint and ultimate reservation guarantee with Marriott as a Lifetime Platinum member and has been months with no resolution . The property and Marriott are trying to not honor the guarantee claiming I didn’t book within 48 hours, but that’s not the same guarantee they owe from their Ts and Cs. It’s been a couple months now and they are not responding so has been quite disappointing to see how Marriott and this particular property treat someone who’s spend over 600 nights with the chain. Stay away at all cost.

Easily one of the worst travel experiences here at this hotel. My family was traveling through headed to Florida. Booked the hotel several weeks in advance. Asked for adjoining rooms and an accessible room for a family member in a wheelchair. Even called the hotel two days out to make sure our requests could be met. Arrived at the hotel after a long day traveling to find out they couldn’t accommodate either request. Even after the desk staff could see the notes when I had called , they couldn’t do anything bc the hotel was almost full. After swallowing that disappoint and stress, we got into the room to find an unvacuumed floor and a tv that didn’t work. They could not move us to another room because they only had king beds left. Totally unacceptable to make reservations in advance, call two days out, none of it mattered. They absolutely didn’t care. We asked for a refund and went across the parking lot to the Tru. Do yourself a favor and just book there!

I am a fan of the courtyard hotels and this one was just like the rest clean and comfortable. My only issue was they were having supply issues. Starting the day with no coffee in the room no soap or shampoo was not what I would expect from a courtyard. When I mentioned it when checking out she simply said yes we're out of that. If they had told us at check in I would have picked up travel size toiletries.
