Auburn Lodge Near University

This hotel was so nice especially for the price. Just moved my niece to Auburn and this is now our go to hotel when visiting. Janiece at the front desk was super nice and helpful. It’s very close to the university and restaurants and Walmart is just down the road.

It’s been a couple of years since I stayed at this hotel and I’m happy to say the same manager is there! They have updated the hotel inside and out. A hot breakfast was served and they even had a pancake cooker like a lot of the fancier hotels. See you in September!

Got keys to our room and went inside to find our room was covered in a bunch of different bugs, hair in the bathtub along with roaches, microwave covered in old food from however long ago with the microwave door also covered in rusted and mildew, floor not swept or mopped along with multiple bugs underneath all the furniture and inside the drawers for your clothing to be put in. They had dead bugs inside the lights lamp shades that you could see with the light one. Both queen bed covers and sheets were stained on the outside( didn’t want to touch the bed, let alone sit on it.) After, discovering the nastiest of the room they rented out to me. I immediately went to the office and wanted to leave and get my money back. But. The Employee on staff told me that she would give us a key to another room that was just as disappointing. The pictures online that this hotel posted are not what the rooms look like. The manager of the hotel told me that is what the rooms will look like after the hotel is renovated. We ended up leaving the hotel and demanding our money back. The hotel was rude to us about wanting to give us our money back for a room that we need slept in or even set on the bed for.. she only gave us half back. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT STAY HERE!! They charged us $200 dollars and only gave us 1 of the off nights back that was paid for before we saw the room.

This is near the university and is probably a great place for coeds to book for student friends who are visiting or students in town for a game. It is clearly for those who are trying to save money. I would never consider staying here again. The staff were off-putting on check in and check out. The television did not work and we had to go there twice to see what was wrong; the first time there were no batteries in the remote! We and the desk clerk did not get the remote to work. There were stink bugs on the ceiling and doors. The door to the bathroom and the front door were full of marks that could have been washed off, but clearly have stayed there for years. The locks did not look secure. Had it not been so late, I would have found another place. The pictures are not what you will experience (or maybe they save the rooms for special people). Checking out in the morning, the clerk was abrupt and did not wish to hear about the light that was out. Although the price was relatively low (not extremely low), I still think we got ripped off. One reason I booked was because it said it was a family owned hotel, and, as a result, this descriptor is no longer attractive to me. Do your research.

I loved the employees, look of the room, and hospitality! When the toilet in our room stopped working, we were given another room to with which to utilize the bathroom. The key had a few minor issues, (took a while to register), and there were some accommodations not readily available, (such as a solid plunger), but overall, I can't complain! I had a really nice time.

Not affiliated with a chain it appears. Nice clean place with friendly help and great prices! The breakfast was not and had many, many choices from waffles to sausage and eggs. Highly recommended. They provided clear instructions to get to a building on camp us.

The staff are always friendly when we come stay at this hotel and the manager here you can see she cares for her staff and property . We never have any safety issues the hotel has the whole property on a camera system and the staff watch it throughout their shifts. The breakfast was nice eggs,sausage ,waffles ,muffins,toast,cereal,coffee,juice,milk plenty my family was able to choose there own mix up to eat. We will always use this hotel when coming to visit our family prices are right for the rooms and we get clean rooms everytime even though it's a older hotel and some people have abused the tubs more so in some rooms we don't let that bother us cause there's enough positive to out weigh the negative .

Being the only place that we could find a room and being a football game weekend, we expected the worse. For an older property we found our room very clean and comfortable. Mattresses were comfortable and we were able to get a good sleep. The continental breakfast was way above the average and included eggs and sausage. There was some noise as we had read in reviews, but subsided about the time we needed to sleep. The front desk people were as good and helpful as they come. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
