I decided to stay at the Power's Mansion after deciding not to stay at the Holiday Inn around the corner. The queen room I had on the 2nd floor has a lot of charm. Loved the claw-foot tub. Had a wonderful bath before bed. Plenty of bathroom toiletry was provided. Loved the bed, very comfortable. There are 2 skylights in the room, one in the bathroom and 1 above my bed. Wish I was staying there when it rains. The room was spacious. Did not use the wardrobe, broken anyway. I was there for only one night so didn't need to use the wardrobe. The carpet is a bit dated, could use an upgrade, maybe rip off the carpet for a hardwood floor underneath? DId not get to experience their breakfast since I had to check out early. Had to check out early for the seminar. Breakfast hours there are later in the morning. Really enjoyed my night there. The onty thing bad was not having good internet. Internet was fine in the main house, but back in my room it did not work. Very disappointed. Alfred the innkeeper was great as was his GF. Great people! Would definitely come back again if I didn't need the internet.
