My husband and I spent over $800.00 plus for a room; the hotel placed us in room 305, this area of the hotel has experienced heavy water damage at one time. The walls are bubbling, the wallpaper is peeling from the walls, and the floor is shagging. Our room smelled like a musty basement, and we had no air conditioning. During the night, my husband went to adjust the air conditioner, and somehow the hotel knew immediately, calling our room at 12:30 am, the staff came running up to our room, handing us four bottles of water. Were we supposed to pour the water on ourselves to cool off? They knew this room had no air conditioning. What? What an odd response. Have they ever heard of a fan? One of the shower doors did not work; there were broken tiles around the baseboards. The hotel no longer has bathtubs, yet they do not supply women with shower caps, nor do they have hair dryers, and there are no outlets for curling irons. This is pathetic and shameful; we could have had the same experience at a Holiday Inn or Ramada Hotel. Doubletree is a rundown mess. This should block off this area and make the necessary repairs. We had a similar experience at Callaway Gardens, where we paid $1000.00 for a night's stay; another poorly run hotel.

Property seems older and dated. Shower had rust stains, toilet didn’t flush properly, and no fan in the bathroom to help with shower steam and condensation.

Doubletree
I did not get the room I reserved. I reserved a suite with balcony. I was given a single room with a view of the air conditioners on the roof. The clerk said it was because I used 3rd party website and it wasn't their fault. We had to pay double for parking because validation didn't work at parking deck exit. Air conditioner was loud. But I have to say hotel staff was very friendly and personable!

The hotel is great. The staff is very friendly from the moment you walk in. The room was outstanding and the location to Truist Park and the Battery is amazing.
