We recently booked a 3-night break at the Wineport Lodge to de-stress and unwind after a few difficult months health-wise for my wife.Wow — did we pick the perfect location!The hotel sits in a stunning, peaceful spot on the shores of Lough Ree. The staff were exceptional across the board: reception, restaurant, bar — everyone was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was incredible — spacious, stylish, and spotless, with a balcony overlooking Lough Ree. It was the kind of view that makes you instantly forget the stresses of everyday life. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, including an espresso machine — a lovely touch. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, with gorgeous linen. The bathroom was modern, with a spacious shower and a big bath perfect for relaxing. We didn’t use the full spa facilities, but we did enjoy the outdoor hot tubs — absolutely brilliant. And taking a dip in Lough Ree afterwards was the icing on the cake. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant on the first evening — I can honestly say it was the nicest steak I’ve had in a very long time. However, the breakfast was the real highlight: outstanding variety and quality, with something to suit every taste.In our opinion, this hotel is a hidden gem — great value for money, and a shining example of what Irish hospitality is all about. You feel it in every interaction, and it leaves a lasting impression. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Atlone and will definitely be staying at the WinepPort Lodge again! Fabulous stay from start to finish. Every member of the team that we met was attentive, friendly, polite and very well trained. Everywhere from front of house to the bedrooms was spotlessly clean. Our lakeside suite was beautiful with some lovely treats available and breakfast in the room was an added bonus, at no extra charge. Spa treatments were very relaxing and the infinity pool is definitely worth a visit. The food was amazing, with menus to suit all tastes and appetites. We checked out refreshed, relaxed and very reluctant to leave. So much so, that we checked availability for later in the week after packing up the car. Luckily there was a room available and as we live within an hour’s drive of the Wineport Lodge, we changed our holiday plans and returned two nights later! Looking forward to another stay very soon.

We arrived on our boat and moored up here for a couple of days to make the most of the spa and restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in very safe hands as Jane and her team left no stone unturned to delivery the very best guest experience you could wish for. My parents are very much into their wine and we were delighted with the selection on offer at very reasonable prices compared to that would be charged in the UK which was a pleasant surprise. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather with two fabulous days of glorious sunshine bringing many walk ins to the Lodge but the team managed it all with grace and slickness that was awesome to watch, well done to you all. We can highly recommend a visit here for a taste of excellence, thank you

I was seeking tranquility and my goodness did this deliver. We were very lucky with the weather but that aisde. every single person we met, shoutout Margot and the desk and Charley that hepped carry my bag. It's very well organised, everyone is so respectful and helpful. Great touch of personalised notes left in the romm and our deserts too1 Left just wishing we had one more nitght but I guess that's always the way when the place is just ecatcly what you wanted. Will be back, and will be recommending. Elaine x

Just home from a fabulous day and night at the Wineport Lodge. From the moment we stepped inside we were treated amazingly! All the little things really made this trip special for a reunion with friends, the attention to details, helpful and friendly staff and the overall feeling of complete relaxation exceeded expectations! A special mention to the fabulous young man Shane who looked after us outside with the sauna and hot tubs, he really couldn’t do enough for us and his friendly nature, smile and helpfulness really stood out and a credit to him. Can’t wait to go back!

Went for a night for or 10 year wedding anniversary. Views beautiful food stunning,room beautiful. The only thing was we were woken up at 5.10am because of staff in the room next door setting up table and chairs for a conference then next morning. We could not get back to sleep and we were wrecked the next morning. Said it to the lady on reception and I think the owner came out and took 50 euro off the bill . Thought they might have offered us a night again as we did not get any sleep in a hotel that is renowned for relaxation.

Moored at the jetty and booked dinner. Wow what a fantastic experience, from the young lad who took our ropes to Adam the bartender who made super pre dinner cocktails. We were so comfortable in the bar Adam gave us the option to dine there and choose from either or both of the bar or restaurant menus. Dinner itself was delicious, super tasty fish and lamb were so good. Bar staff were excellent throughout the evening.
