Carolina Hotel since 1934

Thank you for your hospitality. It was a nice experience. 

Hotel between 2 convenient metro stops. Very little space to put clothes if you want to unpack. No dresser drawers, just a shelf. And incredibly noisy all day and late into night! But maybe that is just Athens! View of Acropolis from balcony was nice but you had to put up with loud motorcycles and music if sitting out there. Breakfast is included - lots of choices, both hot and cold. Staff is knowledgeable about transportation options and directions.

Comfort, location and quantity! Beautiful hotel with a stunning view of the Acropolis! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is in the heart of many restaurants and shopping! I’m so glad we chose the Carolina!

TO AVOID - BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE If you're looking to travel back in time, this very old hotel in Athens might do the trick; unfortunately, it felt like the last time it was cleaned or renovated was in Ancient Greece. The room I got looked nothing like the photos. Everything from the furniture, curtains, and bed frame were worn and stained, and the antique A/C unit could not keep up with the extreme 40 degree summer heat. To make matters worse, you need to leave your key at the front desk whenever you go out, which cuts the power to the room, turning it into an oven by the time you return. I also found bugs within the room and bathroom several times, and lastly the elevator is so old it was probably designed by Aristotle. I lasted half of my planned stay and checked out early to stay at another hotel. Save yourself the trouble and book literally anywhere else!
