The Hotel was really beautiful, excellent facilities with nice architecture and decoration, impressive view to the Nile from the rooms, very clean and comfortable common areas and room. Relaxing and private setting. Unique experience. The service was good but we have some miscommunication problems with the staff serving at the restaurant. For us communicating in English with them was difficult, and it cost us some problems with our consumption and food bill. There is some room for improvement for the Hotel in that regards. Although the location for us was really nice for other guest or tourist may prove a problem, as it is not of easy access. Although the hotel offers a shuttle boat to mainland, we had to go through some long waits at mainland to get the ride. Without having a phone to call well in advance for transportation it becomes really different to access the hotel. We were lucky that our tour guide in Aswan, had his local phone and could always help us contacting the hotel and getting the boat for us.

Food: Provides local food, fair price, good tasteš
Service: Good service, some staff can speak English, communication is barrier-free; round trip boat ride is free, round trip boat ride during the stay is 200 pounds, round trip to Philae Temple is 400 pounds (it seems that the temple pier charges some fees); we asked the hotel to book a car to Abu Simbel Temple, 4100 Egyptian pounds, a little expensive but it seems to be a service provided by a formal company, the driver is very goodš
Environment: The hotel is opposite the Philae Temple, and it takes about ten minutes to take a boat from the pier to the island where the hotel is located. The scenery of the Nile is beautiful: there will be some geckos in the room, hahaha, but there is no problem with going to the toilet and taking a shower, and the sanitary conditions are better than expected.
Overall, it is worth recommending. There is no wifi, but it is an interesting natural experience.

Small rural conditions, breakfast grounded, the only advantage is that it is convenient to take a boat and directly play the temple.

The most important thing in this hotel is not food, though it is perfect, and not even a stunning view from the windows - sincere location and readiness of Ahmed Shauki - the manager and host of the hotel, to help its guests in everything - that 's what makes Villa Misk the best!

This small hotel is in a small village. I went in February. It was dry and cold. The air conditioner could be cooled. The wind in the door was very strong. The panoramic room had a balcony on one side and it was colder. Sara at the front desk is more professional and can ask her if she needs to ask, but she goes to work at 10 am. The one in charge of the bar was very unreliable. The pot of hot water for us was unwashed. The pot of milk was released. The water soaked was all paste. The food and hygiene were completely untrustworthy. And sold us two bottles of water. We didn't order it, he took it directly to us. So we thought it was breakfast, and finally showed us the price list and asked us for money. I said you didn't tell us, he said you didn't ask. Aswan's first stop impression is therefore very poor!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! First of all it is like a staying with your family far from home, in a very tourist welcoming area in general but also the hotel. All Nubian people are welcoming and honest; especially if you are coming from somewhere other than Egypt you will feel refreshed getting rid of bargaining. Hotel arranged an Abu Simbel transportation (which was 3 hours away)with lunch box for us early in the morning at 04:00 am we came back around 1 pm and take a tour to Philae Temple then came back to hotel (which was our cozy home) and Ahmed took us to village as a local, guided as and provided fair prices, we experienced their culture seeing the magnificently painted surroundings also jumping in local houses with tortoise and crocodiles, and they have provided us transportation to Aswan Train Station. I even felt sad because of leaving a place with full of brothers. Thanks to Ahmed (both), Ms Mai, Mohammed and Islam. It was an amazing experience, you shall not say iāve visited Egypt before seeing Nubian Village.

This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for āaccommodationā itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village.
First of all, you have to be able to tolerate:
1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel.
2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide).
3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it.
4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel.
5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person...
What did we get here?
1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am.
2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic.
3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic.
4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles.
5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

Outstanding
AAustinAfter checking in and entering the room on the 8th floor of the hotel on February 6, a drone flew to the glass lamp on the balcony, and the glass exploded all over the floor. After the incident, the hotel manager explained that it had nothing to do with them and did not want to be responsible. He asked us to communicate and solve the problem with the drone flyer by ourselves, and did not mention their security negligence. After communicating with Ctrip customer service, they kept dragging their feet and not solving the problem. Every time when the time node agreed to give the result was reached, the reply they got was always that there was no result yet and more time was needed. No matter how good the hardware facilities are, I will never come to such a hotel again! In addition, I have already written an email to the Chinese Embassy in Egypt to complain and am waiting for the result.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location has to be accessed by a short boat ride, which can be a slight drawback. However, the property itself is clean, modern, and well-kept. While the second-floor Wi-Fi could use some improvement, it didn't significantly affect our stay. The friendly and accommodating staff & owner made our stay enjoyable. They were always willing to assist and ensure our comfort.
AAngelo AmanteItās one of if not the best hotel in Aswan, situated in an exclusive island with an amazing view of the Nile and Nubian village. The staff was super comforting and lovely. Thereās a shuttle boat that runs 24 hours to the main center of Aswan. I had an incredible time here. ļ¼3
GGuest UserThe main feature of this hotel is it's location on top of a hill overlooking the Nile. Also, you are able to use the facilities of its sister hotel, Basma Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, esp Meera who organised drivers and tour guide for us at short notice. The room was clean and spacious, and bathroom had all amenties, however the shower cubicle was on the small side and shower curtain just a couple cms too short so difficult to avoid getting the floor wet.
FFeliciayangThe scenery of the hotel is very good, the Nile River can be seen from the restaurant, and the breakfast is not bad. The room facilities are relatively simple, similar to those of old domestic 3-star hotels. The bedsheets are a bit lacking in hygiene. Bring your own bedsheets. There are no USB charging ports, slippers, etc. The hotel is in an upper location, 20 minutes away from KFC, and there are few restaurants nearby. My friend who was traveling with me booked a room at Qunar. When I checked in, I was told that there was no reservation, so I almost didn't get it. Ctrip is relatively reliable.
GGuest UserWhat you see is what you get, very cute place. The whole village is super cute in dopamine style! ļæ¼ Breakfast is delicious, you can eat on the balcony and the scenery is particularly good, directly see the Nile! ļæ¼ The sister of the homestay also took me to touch the little crocodile for free! Super experience! This small village is especially suitable for hanging out and relaxing for a leisurely day!
GGuest UserI booked a river view deluxe room, but was given a standard king-size bed room. I asked for a king-size bed, but they put twin beds together to make a king-size bed. They didn't even make the beds. Do you think I'm a **? Apart from the superior room or the deluxe room, you really can't stay in the rooms below. The deluxe room is just a fast hotel, at least there is no odor. The rooms below are just guest houses, full of mold and old stinky smells. If you book a superior room and get a standard room, you must go to the front desk to complain and ask to stay in the room you booked.
MmsscullyThe door is the largest Souk in Aswan. It is very convenient to buy some snacks and water and coffee. Of course, you have to bargain. Hotel room facilities and hygiene are the level of the guest house, but the service is really good! There is a girl who can speak Chinese at the front desk, which is really cute! Very very friendly to the Chinese! Introduce us to delicious restaurants, and remind us to get up early to Abu Simbel to catch up with the hotel breakfast, the hotel can pack breakfast! The hotel is very close to the Nile River and it takes 10 minutes to walk. If you are in a good mood, you can sneak to KFC. Some local restaurants along the river can also try it. This season, the riverside wind is strong, a bit cold ļ½ Aswan hotels, basically two extremes, the price is OK here. But the hotel will have a power outage for an hour every day, I don't know why, and there are a lot of mosquitoes! The baby was bitten very poor... If you want to come, take precautions ļ½
ZZhilvdeshenquThere aren't many hotels in this remote place like Aswan, so don't ask too much. Those who have been to Egypt know the situation of hotels, so there's no need to say more. This hotel doesn't provide water, so you may need to prepare it in advance. The balcony can see the Nile River, with a road in the middle. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. I asked about taking the bus to Abu Simbel. I didn't have time to eat breakfast because I had to catch the bus. In fact, judging from the results, it was edible. It was very fast to take a taxi from the hotel to the bus station, and the bus was also slow and started half an hour late. Going there early was mainly to buy tickets in advance to avoid the tickets being sold out due to the large crowds, although it was unlikely.
PPANIt is said that hotels in Aswan are expensive but not good. Maybe it was because my expectations were lowered. Instead, I think this hotel is very cost-effective. The first is the location, on the side of the Nile, on the top you can overlook the Nile. It is very pleasant to watch the sunset. The second is the facilities. Although they are older (if you travel frequently, you should know that the world is unable to compete with the fast-developing China than the new ones), but the level of construction is definitely at least three stars. Much better than the same price in Cairo. Look at the service again. I arrived in the middle of the night and my brother was very warm. When I heard that I was going to join the group at four in the morning, Ma Shan helped me arrange a wake-up service. Early the next morning, a large pack of breakfast was prepared, enough for two or three people. When I left, because the train was at three in the afternoon, I hope to leave the store two hours late. They agreed without saying anything. The Egyptian tradition is to do things to give tips. This is not for foreigners. During the stay, whenever I had a problem, they patiently helped and did not ask for tips. Instead, I am embarrassed. Looking at breakfast again, it may not suit the taste, but the richness is enough. There are nearly ten kinds of bread, as well as freshly baked food. Coffee is instant, which is unacceptable to me. But it cannot be said that they are bad. Compared to my other hotels in Egypt, I definitely like this one better.
