I took a 2-day trip here to get away by myself for a couple of days and this could not have been a nicer spot for that. Everything in this gorgeous boutique hotel is designed for maximum relaxation and comfort, from the river views and watching sea lions swim by while sipping morning coffee, to the super-comfortable bed and Frette linens, to the delicious Scandinavian food and yummy cocktails in the hotel restaurant The Knot, to the unusual barrel saunas that guests can relax in. The staff are all incredibly nice, and were happy to upgrade my room when I asked for a river view (yes, I paid for it), and gave great recs on places to eat nearby too. I loved how so much that i wanted to see and experience was either within walking distance or a short drive away. I can't wait for my next stay!

The history of this place and how they’ve remodeled it is amazing! Really cool and different! Very comfortable beds. Updated. Great bar! The only con is that the walls are really thin and you can hear everything your neighbors do. I’d still stay here again though.

This is such a wonderfully appointed hotel. The rooms are industrial beautiful. I absolutely loved how our room was located right on the Columbia River. No complaints with that at all. While they provide ear plugs for the sea otters, there was no getting over the shaking and loud bumping sound from what we were told were the waves hitting the piers. I am not sure what the cause but it prevented us from getting the sleep we needed. By 0400 we were wide awake. The breakfast food seemed like it was cooked somewhere else, perhaps the day before and then warmed up for us to eat. It was uninspired and not very tasty. Even if you choose not to use the awesome looking barrel saunas, you are still charged an extra resort fee. With this fee and a couple different taxes it ends up being a bit expensive for what you get.

I have stayed here twice--solo for two nights in July 2023 and with my husband for three nights in June 2025. Both stays were fantastic. The location is right on the river, and both times I selected the river view room. This made leaving the windows open overnight a perfect way to get fresh air off the Columbia. The staff are friendly and helpful in assisting. Plus, the valet was reasonably priced and effective (plus it came with free electric charging for our rental car!). One other note--the mattress they use feels wonderful. My back felt great every morning!

The service is outstanding. The location is beautiful and close to downtown shops and restaurants. A few quibbles: it is very loud because of the acoustics. The trash cans are too small. The room coffee in a bag leaves a lot to be desired. The food in the restaurant is not good. Weird selections of “artisan” creations with no real flavor designed,I think, for the visual effect. If you aren’t a big mushroom fan you will be hard pressed to find a savory dish to order. In all though, this is a very nice albeit pricey hotel.

Everything was top notch. However we did not eat at the restaurant but it was something we wanted to do but didn’t have enough time (biz trip). Did have a couple drinks at the bar and the smell of the food coming from the kitchen was amazing. Really clean room.

When we walked in there was a line to check in, so we were offered a glass of champagne. When we checked in we were told that the glasses of champagne were our free drinks , even though everybody was offered the same. My husband said no to champagne (because he doesn’t like champagne ) and she gave him a glass anyway . No elevators and my husband has a bad knee. Balcony’s are basically attached , although we were lucky, since it does not seem like anybody was staying in the room next to us. Seals are great to look at, but they are very loud at night . All in all pretty nice place to stay.
