Neat older building enjoyed the charm, overall had a nice stay. The rooms were well-appointed. One thing not obvious is there are no larger common areas to hang out in if travelling with family and friends. You'd have to hang out in one of your rooms if you want to spend time together at the guesthouse, so keep that in mind. Also plenty of stairs to navigate if you're staying in the upper floor of the main guesthouse.

The first thing that greets you is the 2 flights of very steep steps, nothing mentioned on the website about these. Both my wife and I have mobility issues and it was a real struggle for us. There is no person to person greeting, just a keypad entry system 😣 More steep narrow stairs to the room. First appearance, very quaint. Then you notice there's no tv, and room is quite cluttered. Coat hooks above an electric fireplace, but you can't hang jackets on it. Bathroom was nice, good shower and toiletries. Loose toilet seat !! Comfortable bed, had a good sleep both nights. Nice balcony to sit of an evening.

We just stayed two nights in the Roseville Suite. The suite itself was excellent with everything you need. Everything was modern and the décor was beautiful. The bed was soft, a little too soft for us but still provided a good nights sleep. The couch was not very comfortable but we only sat on it for a little bit so no big deal. It is pretty much centrally located within walking distance to the heart of the town with restaurants, bars, and shops. If you are a Goonies fan (my reason for visiting), you'll want to stay here. It's less than a 1 minute walk to the Flavel House Museum, a 1 minute walk to the Oregon Film Museum (the jail), with everything else Goonies related being a 3 - 8 minute drive away. Including the school from Kindergarten Cop and the Astoria Column. Loved the town of Astoria and Clementine's Guest House. When we return to Astoria, we will be staying here again!

We were only in town for 2 nights. 5 of us - 4 in the Riverview Loft & 1 in the Roseville suite. Both were clean & comfortable. All features as pictured & in working order. Roseville is more modern. Riverview is more rustic, & the stairs to the loft might be challenging for toddlers or movement impaired. Walking distance to food & shopping just down the hill. Host communicated well.

Stayed in the Roseville Suite. Spotless, every amenity provided, very comfortable bed, and beautiful garden sitting area all provided by top-notch innkeeper Judith. Go! Enjoy this well-located inn in a very historic setting in a very historic town.

I needed to get away from my busy life for awhile. I chose Clementine’s Guest House in Astoria. I stayed in the Dahlia room because there was a bathtub. The private bathroom was 10 ft down the hall from the room. That was not a problem at all. The view was worth the extra steps. The windows and the balcony face the town and the water. Very nice! Very relaxing! The hosts, Judith and Tim, were extremely accommodating! The town of Astoria is quaint and charming. I saw several deer walking in the neighborhood around Clementine’s Guest House. Loved that! Everything is walking distance. It was nice to get away from the hustle of the city. I am already planning another stay!

Perfect place to watch ships travel in and out of the harbor from the balcony. We stayed in the Dahlia Room. Room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Nice selection of coffees and teas in the room which made it nice to wake up early, grab a cup and sit on the balcony watching the ship and Pilot Boat traffic while waking up. Or a nice calming tea before bed while watching the sunset. Continental breakfast was delicious. You are just a stones throw (3 blocks) from the rivers edge. Great location as we were able to walk to everywhere during our stay and not have to drive and park. Local shops were fun and inviting. Folks are very friendly in Astoria, which was soooo nice! The local Sunday market was just a couple of blocks down the street. Lots of great local artistry and foods. Did a lot of birthday and Christmas shopping. Our Host, Judith, was the sweetest person! She was very attentive to anything we needed. We loved the "Old House" and all its charm and history. I highly recommend Clementine's if you want inviting and warm hospitality, great location to everything in town, and views of the river as well as the other charming "Old Homes" in the neighborhood and the Astoria column on the hill. We truly enjoyed our stay at Clementine's. Judith did an absolutely wonderful job hosting! We would definitely go back next time through Astoria.

I am currently staying here and absolutely warn you NOT to stay here!!! What a dump!!! The water pipes bang and scream when the neighbors in the next room turn on their water. There are no closets in any of the rooms, and no hangers. The common room was shut down and all the amenities that are supposed to be available, are not. The heater in the room had a burned out plug that had clearly been on fire before, so there’s no heater in the room!!! The owner clearly has NO interest in providing services to guests and was very open about trying to sell it. I am SHOCKED that she has the nerve to advertise the place at all. We’re looking for a different place tomorrow! DISGUSTING!
