Best Western Plus Aston Hall Hotel

I went with a friend to the Soul and Motown Night which included a glass of fizz, and 2 course meal. The meal and evening were excellent. We stayed overnight in a very nice and spacious bedroom. In the morning we had an excellent breakfast freshly cooked. Overall our stay was most enjoyable and would hope to repeat the occasion.

Hotel location is lovely. The evening meal fish & chips highly recommended breakfast nice. Our room was a superior room but the cleanliness of the room wasn’t superior. I used to work within a hotel and this wouldn’t be acceptable standards. The shower cubicle drain needs to be emptied and cleaned as kept getting smell of sewerage and when having shower it would not drain properly The bed frame wooden had tea/coffe spilliage and the carpets I’m not sure if they had been vacuumed

Very nicely located hotel and super friendly staff , as there was a wedding in they located us apart from the hotel so we didn’t get interrupted by the celebrations which was a very thoughtful consideration . Breakfast was very nice with a large choice . Coffee was excellent

This hotel tries really hard to appear posher than it is. It is beautiful from the outside and things like logos on the napkins at breakfast and individual coffee pots, however the hotel is clearly in need of major renovations. We stayed in the Empire Fork suite and as you can see by the attached photos, the place was very poor. The bed was comfy which was great, but there was peeling paint, dirt, cobwebs, old tired furniture - I’d dread to see a standard room if this was a deluxe!

Overall our stay was reasonable, breakfast was very good. With an exception. Unfortunately our stay was let down by the poor design of the wet room bathroom. The floor drained away from the shower, resulting in a pond forming across the whole floor, and us have to wade across to use the facilities! We did complain to the hotel and they gave us some refund to compensate. Otherwise the score would have been lower. The church clock chimes through the night as well... Sash windows on the ground floor were not locked

We have stayed many times at Aston Hall over the past two years for family reasons. All the staff (without exception) have always been professional, friendly, and supportive, especially in the last few weeks. We can only praise them and will miss our regular visits.

Yet again, another fantastic Motown evening with an overnight stay. As usual we were greeted like family on arrival at reception, the staff were professional, cheerful and friendly, you can’t knock this hotel for its consistency, whether it’s check- in or the meals we’ve had, alongside our room which was very comfortable, clean and warm, the standards never dropped. Again, the staff went above and beyond the standard of service and hospitality, they work as a team and seem glad and proud to work for Aston Hall, as customers we felt this and appreciated it. We’ve travelled the world as well as locally, nothing can come near the service we received at this hotel not only on our recent visit, but every other event we’ve attended. We’d like to thank all the staff for their hard work and infectious cheerfulness towards their guests. I can only say the owners of this hotel should feel proud and lucky for having such a good team of employees that constantly work hard to meet the customers needs as standard. We will be back for the next Motown/Northern Soul event. Not forgetting we’ll be back for New Years Eve for the Gala dinner, an event not to be missed at a fantastic price and the luxury Christmas Lunch. There’s nowhere that beats this place we love it. Thank you to all the staff for making our night out a memorable one. I can’t praise this place enough, there’s some very special people that work here.

We stayed at Aston Hall back in March and it was a perfect stay. The attention to detail from staff was amazing. My wife is Dairy free so they replaced the welcome biscuits to free from biscuits. The room was stunning and immaculately clean. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in England and would definitely recommend the Sourdough with avocado! Location wise it’s perfect; 15 mins to Sheffield and easy access to the M1. When we are next in the area we will definitely stay here again as it’s the perfect hotel for a few nights stay!

We had booked a place at another hotel for a meal for my partners mums 70th birthday for 17 people. On arrival on Sunday, they had no record of the booking. She was heartbroken and the family were stressed. We tried to book other venues, including Van Dykes but nobody could accommodate that many people, with such short notice. I then rang through and spoke to Levi who was absolutely amazing at Aston Hall. Even though they weren't fully prepared for that many people, he was open and honest about our options and having to wait longer thsn usual. He got us in within the hour in a lovely side room, the staff were so attentive and service was excellent. The chefs prepared a birthday plate of desserts for the birthday girl and made it really special for her. The family had a lovely time. Levi, you absolutely saved the day and we will be forever grateful for that. We will be booking with you next time as our 1st choice on the next occasion but will give you plenty of notice.
