Prima hotel in centrum van Assen. Parkeren is wel duur. Als je om 16.00 uur aankomt en de volgende dag om 13.00 uur vertrekt ben je 2x € 8 kwijt.

Prima hotel, er mag in de kamer het een en ander vernieuwd en opgefrist worden ,zoals de badkamer ,de ombouw van de wasbak toonde slijtage en op de muren van de slaapkamer staan handafdrukken en het rook er muffig vochtig. Het ontbijt is prima, veel keus .Het personeel is supervriendelijk .

Vanavond gedineerd bij hotel De Jonge. Bij het hoofdgerecht - kabeljauw - bestelde ik de seizoensgroenten als bijgerecht. Ik kreeg een klein stukje kabeljauw met twee wortelen, met als bijgerecht… vier wortelen (€4.50). Toen ik aangaf dat ik dat weinig creatief vond (kabeljauw met wortelen met wortelen) kreeg ik te horen dat ze in de keuken zouden navragen wat mogelijk was en het bijgerecht werd alvast meegenomen. Een kwartier later werden twee plakken bloemkool gebracht. Ik had m’n stukje kabeljauw al op en gaf aan dat ik niet zoveel zin had in bloemkool als dessert. Overleg met de teamleider leidde ertoe dat ik het bijgerecht niet hoefde te betalen. Goh. Ik bestelde nog een sambuca, die eerst bij de buurman - naast zijn glas bier - werd geserveerd en na wat heen-en-weer gepraat uiteindelijk toch bij mij terechtkwam. Toen ik de rekening checkte bleek er een drankje te veel op te staan. Toen ik daar iets van zei, werd meteen aangegeven dat ‘de meneer aan die andere tafel’ al weg was, ‘dus zijn drankje is per ongeluk bij u terechtgekomen’. Het eten was prima, maar het gaat om de beleving, hotel De Jonge… Jammer dit!

Mooi gelegen hotel in centrum Assen. Keurig ingerichte kamer. Met goede faciliteiten. Inchecken verliep soepel en snel. Parkeerplaats nabij hotel beschikbaar. Houdt rekening met beperkte Parkeerplaatsen bij hotel tijdens de markt activiteiten. Vriendelijke bediening. Uitstekend ontbijt.
