Romantic Hotels in Aso District

The service staff was very friendly, we received us at the main entrance when we arrived by car, helped with our luggage, led us into the restaurant, and introduced us to various ingredients and cooking methods. The cooking method for dinner is very special, setting up a fire on the sand and barbecuing, the taste is very unique. After the meal, lead us to the room and explain one by one, very professional. The location is relatively remote, but it can be regarded as a feature. The hotel has a public bath, but we didn't go because there is a private bath in the room and the water temperature is very comfortable. Compared with other high-priced brand hotels, the price is really first-class, but the location is really remote.

Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring town near Aso. It has many hot spring hotels and some of them have a long history. Relatively speaking, the hot spring facilities are also a bit old. I was a little worried about this trip, but after arriving, Kurokawa Ryokan Kurokawaso made me very satisfied in all aspects. Ctrip's customer service was very considerate and helped me make an appointment for the hotel pick-up. You should know that the hotel is a bit far from the center of the town and the station, especially if you are carrying two large suitcases. There was a pick-up person waiting as soon as the car arrived at the station. Arrived at the hotel. Patiently waited for 3 o'clock to check in. Can't wait to experience the hot spring first. The hot spring pool looks clean and the facilities are intact. This time, a total of 2 different room types were booked. There are no bathing facilities in the rooms of the main building, but it is not far from the hot spring. Very convenient. The rooms in the annex are Western-style rooms. It is a bit far from the main building, but you don't have to sleep on tatami, which is convenient for getting up and lying down. What's even better is that there is a hot spring pool in the room, one indoor and one outdoor. If you are a couple or a couple, you don't have to go to the men's and women's hot springs separately. Of course, the hotel also has a private family bath that can be reserved for one hour each time. In general, Kurokawa-so is a relatively niche attraction with only 2-3 buses arriving every day, but it is indeed a hot spring resort. If you like to take a hot spring bath, you can also buy a hot spring hand shape to experience the hot springs of 3 different hotels and experience the different ingredients and therapeutic effects. Kurokawa-so is a very good choice. I am very satisfied with this trip!

This is a small hotel located on the mountain in the Kurokawa Hot Spring area. The environment is quiet and the creek next to the hotel is beautiful. It is convenient for self-driving tours. There are only 8 rooms in the entire hotel, including 6 cabin-style rooms and 2 rooms in the main building. - There are rooms with open-air hot springs and indoor hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with open-air hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with indoor hot spring baths: 2 rooms in total When we booked the room, because the rooms with open-air hot spring baths were fully booked, we could only book rooms with indoor hot spring baths. Although the hot springs did not have outdoor views, the hot spring pools were very large, and both of us could still soak in them. Large space; the hot spring water has a strong sulfur smell and is hot enough to feel comfortable. Since each room has a private bath, there are no other people in the public baths. The staff has a very good attitude and is very polite from reception, introducing room facilities and serving meals. Breakfast and dinner are served in a private room, and sukiyaki is also available for dinner. The wagyu beef is very tender and melts in your mouth. In addition to sukiyaki, the sashimi and horse sashimi are also very fresh and delicious, making you very filling. The exquisite presentation of the breakfast will whet your appetite. Before leaving, the receptionist offered to take photos for us at the main entrance of the hotel, great! However, if I come to Kurokawa Onsen in winter to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei (the famous local light festival), I will choose to stay in a hotel near the visitor center, because it takes 8 hours to drive out from Onyuku Nohana to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei. The driving time is 30 minutes. Driving on a narrow mountain road is often dangerous when opposing vehicles have to back up to give way to each other.

Stayed for two nights, breakfast and dinner were not the same. By car, there is free parking. Stargazing at night, the sky is full of stars, see Orion, Big Dipper, Gemini and so on. There are not many hotel rooms and they are not open to the public. The three family soup rooms can basically be enjoyed, and each has a private soup for men and women, divided into outdoor and indoor. Drive to Kurokawa Onsen for 7 minutes and drive to Aso Volcano for 1 hour. Unfortunately, Aso volcano is still in a dangerous period from 2019 to the present.

Ryokan Yumotoso is in a perfect location in the quaint town of Kurokawa. There are about 12 rooms only, hence its quite a quiet and small establishment. Service staff are all great, and the room view is fantastic looking over the beautiful river. The open onsen also overlooks nature, and private onsens are rustic. As per Ryokans, breakfasts and dinners are included, and so far, we have never been disappointed with food in Ryokans, including Yumotoso. Do note that parking lots are limited, and the lane leading to Yumotoso is rather narrow. Would recommend Yumotoso for its great location, fantastic room view and rustic environment.

The hotel is worth it, and the staff is very enthusiastic! I was lucky enough to see both the first snow and the maple leaves, which were really beautiful. I must come again when it snows and stay for two nights. The dinner and breakfast are indeed not delicious, but they are very filling. If I drive myself, I will not choose dinner, just breakfast. The hotel includes pick-up and drop-off, and you need to contact in advance. You can pick up from the bus station or from the bus parking lot if you sign up for a one-day tour like me. The tour guide will help you call, or you can directly let Ctrip customer service contact. Ctrip service is still very good, although it is a little more expensive than other platforms

When we checked in, we were greeted and served with a welcome dessert and Japanese tea. The room was big in Japanese context with a split-level design and a courtyard. The room has all the amenities you would expect. We liked the settings of the ”talking room”, in which light music was played in the background. There are also coffee and tea available in the ”talking room”. Breakfast and dinner were truly delicious. Perhaps, the only downside is that the size of the onsen hot tub in the room is a bit small.

Shenshan Villa is an excellent hot spring hotel. The room is beautiful and comfortable, and it also comes with an outdoor hot spring, so you can relax and enjoy the view. Breakfast and dinner provide a rich variety of cuisine, allowing you to taste a variety of delicious food. The most surprising thing is that all this is affordable, allowing you to enjoy a first-class experience at a reasonable price. Overall, Shenshan Villa is an excellent choice, whether you are looking for relaxation, good food or affordable accommodation, this place can meet your needs.

本來是想去黑川温泉的，可惜太熱門，好的酒店全部訂完，找備選方案時意外留意到了南阿蘇村，知名度雖然沒有黑川那麼響，但綜合指數一點不落下。 交通方面，從熊本坐豐肥本線到肥厚大津再換同線路車到立野站，也有車次能直達立野站，但車次不多，大部分還是到肥厚大津的，得換一次。另外要注意，立野站不能刷ic卡，所有卡都不能，坐車去立野站記得買乘車券，進站時千萬別刷卡。到立野站後再換南阿蘇鐵路，這是條主打海賊王的私鐵線路，很有特色，沿途風景也很治癒，算是個景點。注意南阿蘇鐵路也不能刷卡，後門上車拿整理券，前門下車付現即可，沒零錢的可以用車上的兩替機兑換，很方便。離酒店最近的車站是白水高原站（hakusui-kogen），可以提前和酒店聯繫好時間，他們可以來車站接的，如果嫌麻煩，也想自己走走看看日本農村景象，步行到酒店沿途走走拍拍照，我們大概花了1小時，後半程因為是爬坡會有些累。 景點方面，我們去了網紅的上色見熊野座神社，不虛此行，酒店也很貼心的幫忙接送到白水高原站，從這裏坐電車到高森站，再換產交巴士上色見環線就到了。酒店後山其實也挺好逛的，我們在地圖上找了個叫十六羅漢的古蹟，想去探探險，可惜疫情幾年沒有維護，上山的路壞了沒法走，但沿途風景還是不錯的。 餐飲方面，酒店包兩餐，都是在房間用餐。主菜有壽喜燒、小火鍋和蒸汽牛肉可選，配菜有生魚片刺身、馬肉刺身、鍋物、蒸物等，很豐盛，口味也不錯。 温泉方面，酒店特色就是每個房間有自己的私湯，應該更符合國人喜好，也適合情侶出行吧。住的幾天基本一天3泡，不要太舒服。

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.
