This is an amazing hotel with an amazing staff!! Night auditor, housekeeping, breakfast attendant and all front desk went way above and beyond. We were in town with 9 people for a concert and the hotel was packed. There was always enough people work the breakfast and never stood around looking for food or condiments without an attendant asking if we need something. When we need to flip towels because there was no stayover service due to the concert in town and did not need, any housekeeper we came into contact with was very warm, welcoming and ready to help. The front desk staff was great with keeping us all from being locked out of our rooms at anytime and did not mind remaking keys over and over. I even left my bag with all credit cards in the lobby and they reminded us the next morning. I will definitely stay here again.

We also offer rooms equipped with microwaves and refrigerators upon request. We are conveniently located off I-64 exit 185 CannonsburgAshland. Their website makes it sound like Chama NM or Durango Colorado in regards to the trains. Truth is a major freight goes by several times an hour, shaking the whole building and horns screaming. In between are the smaller trains that will still prevent any sleep. We gave up after two hours, left, and moved about 5 miles to a QUIET and much cleaner motel. When we complained we were not given a refund nor would the chain comp a night on our privileges account. Should be a large red sign on the door warning people this is not a place to try to SLEEP. Refusal of refund shows lack of integrity also. Rated one star because zero stars is not an option.

Overall this is a very basic Hampton property. It is located a few miles north of the main highway (I64), which provides some quiet from road noise. It is located in a mixed residential and commercial area with many stores within walking distance (Walmart, fast food, fuel options). The staff were very pleasant (especially during a very late night check-in). The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast is standard Hampton fare. Honestly, the hotel met expectations.

This is a full service hotel in downtown Ashland, just a block or so away from the Paramount Arts Center, which books top talent (Bernadette Peters on 4/21). Hotel has steakhouse, several bars, and a Starbucks. Steakhouse provides room service, including breakfast. Several good local restaurants within walking distance. Very friendly front desk staff. Room was large and very clean. One note: bathroom was fine, but if you need grab bars for tub, book one of their handicapped rooms.
