The employee that checked me in was wonderful and very friendly. Unfortunately, that is about as far as I can share in good things. Upon getting to our room, it was extremely musty smelling. We searched and found mold in the pull out couch and everything was damp. I had papers sitting out overnight and they were damp by the morning. The doors were extremely difficult to open/close, and the room itself was just dirty/dusty. I could not even request something different as there was a music fest this weekend and all the rooms were booked out. I couldn't switch hotels either as everything was sold out for the weekend. I don't generally write negative reviews, but this was just too much to overlook for what we are paying. Fortunately, we were only there for one evening.

This is not a great hotel, definitely low class
Door to room did not properly close. Dirty in general, mildew in bathroom on walls and ceiling.
Desk clerk was nice, but check in took forever as he was not properly trained before being given his own shift, had to call for help to get us checked in.
Lobby smelled of chlorine even though pool was closed. Needs a thorough and true cleaning, not a quick toweling.

Great place to stay in Ashland
I stayed here while visiting family when my grandmother passed away. The staff was very attentive to my needs. The room was great.

Room was clean, hallway had an unclean smell, side door to the outside door does not close leaving it as a security risk, breakfast not stocked well, requested a plunger-never got, few other issues ill not post. Has declined in the last 5 years.

Way better than expected
Normally I avoid lower cost hotels because I think if I pay more I get better bu this hotel in Florence was as good or better than some of the more expensive ones we have stayed at. Super comfy bed and very friendly staff! We will definitely stay again!

Nice hotel for the value. We got a good rate. Hotel was right off the main road. The staff was friendly, and the room was older but well kept and clean. We had no issues with our stay. We would gladly stay again in the future.
