This was part of our tour package. The place looks elegant when you enter. Our room was just ok. We never got the room cooled down even after their tech worked on it. The bathroom was spacious but be careful getting into and out of the shower. It is a big step. Breakfast had a nice variety of cold and hot dishes. The restaurant is pricey but the food was ok.

When you arrive and see the hotel from the outside, it looks quite grand. When you enter the lobby, it is impressive. But don't look much closer, you'll be disappointed. When we stepped off of the elevator to go to our rooms, the hallways again look elegant. Then you notice that the carpet is torn and coming apart. Wheality an we entered our room, it looks as if it was once fancy indeed. Now things are cracked, bits are broken, the knobs and handles of the shower are loose and wobble. There is a restaurant on the top floor, which we tried to go to one night, but after sitting at a table for 30 minutes and being ignored by the staff, we left. The hotel provides breakfast in the morning, but it is basic at best. Like many things in Ashgabat, the Sport Hotel looks very nice on the surface, but lacks true quality and substance.

This hotel looks amazing when you arrive- all white marble and gold deco- until you check in. For some obscure reason, buses aren’t allowed to park outside the front entrance so we had to climb up 50+ stairs from the rear parking lot- with our luggage- no porters in the hotel despite its size! The staff are at best disinterested, at worst rude. Very little English is spoken. The rooms were large and well furnished but the (endless) corridors had strange ‘dips’ in the flooring which suggested the floor was disintegrating! The room entry key was temperamental and WiFi useless as all websites are blocked! Housekeeping was chaotic. Our beds weren’t made and no toilet paper was left. Management were totally disinterested in queries. The dining room was opulent and huge but the food greasy and inedible. Breakfast not much better. Staff rude and played Turkmen pop music loudly through speakers despite our requests for them to reduce the volume. Every request was met with a ‘no’. The lady cooking eggs drowned them in huge quantities of oil- none of us were brave enough to try them. I am rarely reduced to eating toast when travelling, but was here. The small pots of ‘preserves’ were syrup and some runny berry preserve whereas elsewhere we had delicious honey. Thankfully we left before breakfast on our last day. All show and no substance

This hotel was amazing and unlike a lot of videos you see about Ashgabat, quite buzzing with a lot of people staying. The rooms are huge and the bottles water was provided regularly by the friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is quirky and different! Nice coffee shop downstairs and a little shop selling souvenirs, everything open late and oriented towards the guest. My room was at the back of the hotel sadly, but the views are unbelievable from the dining room. Great experience!

This is a huge hotel that looks like a palace inside. It's very well maintained and clean. My single room was enormous, the largest room I've ever stayed at. It had a beautiful view of the marble buildings outside. It was a comfortable stay except for minor plumbing issues with the water in the shower not draining fully. Breakfast was very average, and service at reception isn't the best. English isn't widely spoken and staff can come across a bit rude and cold. But overall, highly recommend this hotel.

The place is beautiful and very comfortable. We had a great room with an awesome view of the white city.. the breakfast buffet was not the greatest, but enough to enjoy your breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very large

This elegant property boasts stunning, spacious rooms with gold decor, marble bathrooms, comfortable beds, and beautifully crafted furniture. The ample storage space, including a chest of drawers and numerous shelves, is a practical touch. The marble bathroom is particularly impressive, featuring a separate shower and tub, as well as thoughtful amenities like towel warmers. It was a delight to spend time in the room, which felt like an elegant, serene retreat. While the hotel excels in many areas, a few minor issues detracted from our stay. Breakfast, although delicious, was disorganized, with long waits for simple items like coffee (served in small pots) and fried eggs. Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent, and the shower had a light sewer gas smell and visible stains. Despite these issues, our overall experience was of very high quality. The hotel's luxurious amenities and comfortable accommodations make it a great choice for those seeking an upscale stay in Ashgabat.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Everything worked inside the room, even the Wi-Fi almost always loaded. The room is cleaned if you press a special button. Luggage could be left for some time after check-out. The Berkarar shopping center is located next to the hotel - there is everything there. The only downside of the hotel is the breakfast: tasteless and meager, although for a fee the coffee is not bad. I went to have breakfast in good Ashgabat coffee shops.
