I stayed at the Renaissance for a conference. I came in a day early and Gabe at the front desk gave me great recommendations where to go to sightsee, shop and eat. Thank you Gabe!!! Also amazing service was from Sandy. She was so helpful in every way shape and form! I called and spoke with her early on arrival day that I was arriving very late and she had the room already blocked for me when I arrived. She was extremely helpful in finding my conference packages as well. She was so charming and caring and what a great asset to your company!

The Renaissance hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, is in the perfect location. It's near all kinds of walking venues to explore from the hotel i.e. shopping and restaurants. The hotel is definitely older, but very clean. The banquet buffets for our group was outstanding as well as the meeting set up, Thank you Hynnic for taking care of our room set up and overseeing our banquets!! Also a big thank you for Sandy Stafford in overseeing our room drops, advancement in VIP rooms ready and delivery of their amenities ( good catch on the cork screws) prior to their arrivals!!! Not to mention playing bell woman. You really seem to lead your colleagues by caring and sharing. Only suggestion is maybe faster elevators. Other than that, all good

I don’t normally write online reviews, but our recent stay at this hotel was just so disappointing that I wanted to make other potential guests aware. I recently visited Asheville with my two boys and we had had a long day out. We were considering spending the evening downtown, but we decided to head back early so they could go to the hot tub, and then grab dinner at the hotel restaurant. When we got to the pool, we found out that the hot tub was closed (we had been told it was open), the pool was too cold for swimming, and that the restaurant had to unexpectedly close for the evening (again, no notification), so the hotel would not be serving food. I asked the staff at the front desk about these unexpected closures. They were rude and dismissive. No apologies or offer for any sort of remediation. Not the level of service you’d expect for this price.

Front desk very welcoming at check-in, gave me directions to downtown which was easily walkable. Came back to front desk later to ask about the River Arts District Leelee and Sharon had lots of information on that as well as telling us of the trolley that stops right in front of the hotel. Location of hotel is great and staff very friendly. Our room was clean and we had a great stay. We will definitely be back in the fall.

Management was not seen The reception staff did not treat their guests with respect There appears to be a lack of trading with staff The condition of the hotel is poor with many things either marked or not working The location is good however everything else was sun standard

Spacious rooms; we had a gorgeous picture window mountain view, which you should request. Easy parking and short walk to the center of downtown. Their pool is not open as of the summer’24, but you can ask the front desk for a free pass to the very nice YMCA pool nearby. We only learned of this from the YMCA. Really great continental breakfast.

Glad I chose this hotel it is convenient to downtown and the staff is top notch. We checked out of hotel and our car wouldn’t start. Front Office Director Sharon assisted us in calling a tow truck driver in the area, while waiting in the lobby for truck front desk gave the kids water and talked with them about their stay in Asheville.

Don't stay here if you have another choice! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon expecting to have a quick bite before our dinner meeting. There was nothing but snacks available. A lot of people were checking in & expecting to have food but nothing was available. Plus there was nothing available close. Very sad. Our room, with two double beds, only had one chair. I will not go into detail but it took over two hours and many calls to many people to get another chair. We asked for blankets to replace our duvet . We got blankets that were in such poor condition I'm not sure Good Will would have taken them! Plus they were the wrong size. This hotel is badly is need of an update. The charge for parking is ridiculous . They have a large parking lot next to the hotel. It's just another way to make money. This is probably the worst hotel we have stayed in for some time.
