Called for lunch on the hoof and we were warmly received. We would have happily eaten in the main dining room, but this wasn’t proffered, only the bar, so we ate there. There was no music and few diners and therefore very little ambience. Service was absolutely spot on though - friendly, polite and timely. Food was ok, pleasant enough but nothing to write home about and the white wine served at room temperature. Overall then, not an amazing experience, though the hotel and grounds are very attractive and I wouldn’t rule out a stay if returning to the area.

We had a lovely time, rooms were clean, staff were polite and helpful and great value for money, with specail thanks to Danny at the bar, Sam cleaner/ house keeping, Terry server and Oralae' receptionist. All the resteraunt staff were great too and the food was amazing. We will be back and hopefully the jacuzzi will be fixed.

Just stayed here two nights whilst away with work. I was very impressed by the hotel. My room was in the mews and was a great size. Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows and cool air-conditioning. I had breakfast and lunch there both days and the food was spot on. Staff were also lovely. I will return and would happily recommend to others.

We needed a stop off on our way back from France and this proved to be ideal. It’s a nice quiet spot and handy for the motorway. We were too tired to dine and sit in the bar in the evening, but despite this, we still had a very pleasant stay, aided by the very helpful, and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, from check in to breakfast in the morning - which was very good indeed - a fantastic table beautifully laid for the whole family. Impressive. We couldn’t use the spa due to timings ( kids only 8 til 10 and breakfast was same hours - if I was in charge I’d do breakfast until 11 on a Saturday morning like so many other places, and that way we could have had time to eat breakfast and get a dip in before we left). Never mind, next time. And there will be a next time . Thanks to all for a relaxing stay.

Such a shame, we returned to this beautiful hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary and Michelle kindly upgraded us to a suite. The staff both on the reception and in the restaurant were first class, the restaurant food is also something not to be missed, amazing food. The noise in the room however was unacceptable. We were awoken at arround 1.30 am by a mechanical clonking noise from the store room next door that went off every 10 mins for over 2 hours. Then at 5.30am we were suddenly awoken by an extremely loud racket outside our window. On calling reception I was told that it was the bin men emptying the wheelie bins (10 in total!) and no effort was made to minimise the noise, it was as if it was the middle of the day! For a hotel to have this arrangement at such an early time of the morning and right underneath rooms with single glazing is ridiculous.

Wow we enjoyed a wonderful family celebration with private dining. Staying over 3 nights and our family including young children for a 1 night stay. Food was amazing, rooms were delightful and they catered for all the family rooms with cots and adding a fridge for fresh milk etc. Staff could not have done enough and so attentive to our needs. We actually felt sad leaving as it felt like a second home. Thank you to those Debbie Katie Christine Julie Shanice Toby Annie Imogen Kate who we got to meet and to those who were behind the scenes making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. We will be back

5*! Attentive, friendly staff made us feel so welcome during our stay. Exceptional service. Lovely room (master suite). Generous toiletries. We both slept soundly in the super comfortable bed. Scrumptious breakfasts. Good food. Enjoyed the spa facilities. We have been lucky enough to stay in some nice hotels and this was definitely up there with some of the best, so much so, we have rebooked again already for later in the year …. and this time we are bringing friends! Recommend.

Excellent hotel and spa, staff went out of their way to help and make our stay special. They remembered this was a celebration and left lovely little touches in the room. Spa modern and well thought out, restaurant intimate and menu had a good quality selection and the room had everything of quality.

My husband and I spent a night here for an anniversary treat. It's a nice enough spa hotel but our stay was entirely let down by being allocated what we can only assume is the worst room in the place (21). For £265 this tiny, dingy, poorly decorated room overlooking the bins was an absolute ripoff. The shower only worked on scalding hot setting, the TV was hung in the wrong place. The AC was dodgy. Have honestly stayed in far nicer rooms at budget hotels. While out and about we caught a glimpse of some much nicer rooms which reflected the price point so clearly we were unlucky. We didn't want to make a fuss but on reflection I wish we'd demanded to change as it was a lot of money and soured our anniversary trip.
