La Casona de Nene is a B&B just off Arzua main street.
The room was acceptably spacious and decorated with great attention to details in a heavy flowery style, however it did not have any writing desk but only a rack to hang clothes. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had a basic toiletries supply and unfortunately a very annoying sensor-activated light, which kept going on and off with excessive frequency.
The B&B also as a pool which we didn't try because of the rain.
The receptionist is kind and welcoming.
The main problem of this establishment is the breakfast, which is provided in their restaurant located around 500 meters from La Casona de Nene, and in pouring rain it was not a pleasant walk to and fro! Moreover, the B&B is priced well above the market and in line with a 3-star hotel, and for that price the breakfast was not satisfactory: it is not a buffet breakfast and there is no choice of food nor refilling.
Overall, it looks like a place that cares more for appearance than substance and it is not worth the price they charge.

Lugar acogedor con gente amable.
Mercedes nos recibió con tanta amabilidad. Llegamos caminando de Arzúa exhaustos y rápido nos puso en las manos una botella de agua fría. Nos dio ánimo para seguir el camino. El lugar es muy lindo. La cama muy cómoda. Todos súper amables. Lo único es que había un poco de moho en la ducha. Pero fuera de eso todo súper limpio y cómodo. La decoración fue muy acogedora.

Pilgrims breakfast
A very hearty welcome by the proprietor and they even translated everything into English. Given a tour and they explained the local area and where to get breakfast which was in a different place.
Breakfast was a good pilgrims breakfast which sets you up for the walk due the day. Very simple with freshly baked bread. With plenty to bulk up on including walnuts….

The room was beautifully decorated. The owner was very gracious and kind explaining everything about where to eat and directions to get there. It was a great location because it is just a block off of the Camino. Easy to find an easy to get started again.

Estuvimos alojados en la casona de Nené, después de un dia largo de "camino de Santiago". Adrian y Rosana regentan tres establecimientos en Arzua y a cual mejor. "La casona de Nené", "Casa nené" y "1930 Boutique Hotel" Ambiente familiar, la casona és el sitio perfecto para descansar, limpieza de 10 y súper silencioso, con una decoración exquisita. Pero lo mas relevante la simpatia y amabilidad de Rosana. Estuvimos cenando en el 1930 Boutique Hotel, también de su propeidad. "Cena de lujo". Y para rematar el desayuno en casa de Nené, el trato por parte de los padres de Adrian fué inmejorable. Que decir mas. mucha SUERTE ADRIAN Y ROSANA con vuestro próximo proyecto!!!!!. SORT I VENTURA!!!!

Stopped for one night after a long day of walking. The reception and rooms were tastefully decorated. Our room (Oxford) didn’t have air conditioning, although it didn’t seem to have had much sun shining in through the day so wasn’t too hot when we went in. The bathroom was clean and the shower good, but the light and fan could not be turned on or off by a switch and came on each time anyone opened the bathroom door. Unfortunately our stay was negatively affected by an outdoor concert that was taking place almost directly across from our room with extremely loud music until after 2am.

Me quede aqui en Febrero mientras hacia El Camino. Me gusto muchisimo este boutique hotel. Empezando por la ubicacion, justo al lado del Camino. La decoracion y condicion del hotel estuvieron increibles. La cena tambien estuvo increible. Sin duca alguna me volvere a quedar cuando vuelva a hacer El Camino y se lo recomendare a mis amigos.

A nice small room , well furnished with good linen and a comfy bed . We slept well , there is no kettle in the room or water left . We ate in their Boutique Hotel 1930, a very good well served meal in lovely surroundings . Breakfast was served in their nearby cafe , I think the hostess must have been having a bad day , we are not fluent in Spanish and I think she wanted us gone by 8.30 , the other guests in the cafe before and afterwards had the sane experience , we felt very unwelcome
