The Seaview, East Preston

No glasses toilet seat loose no normal tea window blinds dirty handle comes of one draw bath towels not large enough window catch missing in bathroom Reported to manager toilet he can not sort trying to get someone out could not move us to another room as full up Plug sockets one behind bed legs so can not get to it so no socket next to the bed either side plus another behind chest of draws there is only one plug socket to use . There is a extension lead with a kettle plus fan and telly in it plus one empty socket so could overload Blinds let in light at night better with blackout blinds plus you can not get them to stay up to open the windows easy Car park to small had to park up the road not very good residents should have spaces reserved Shower head keep falling down the pole plus the temperature control is vert stiff need strong grip to turn not very satisfactory Handle on draw dose not open the draw comes of in your hand Meant to be refurbished in 2022 not impressed No full length mirror in bedroom there is a chair but not really enough room and no good for ladies doing makeup no dressing table as to much cluster on chest of draws Had a man measuring the carpets whilst people havi Toilet brush needs replacing ng breakfast

Had lunch here and I have to say in the main it was good. Very good quality sharing platter to start. Fish and chips to follow which was OK. Not told what the fish was but most fish tastes the same to me! Chips were fine. I do wish places would actually make their own chips, but can understand the cost situation. Worst part was the mushy peas, terrible! Beer was fine. Service was enthusiastic rather than professional. Never had a bottle of wine and a wine cooler placed on the floor before! Overall if you are in the area would suggest to give it a go. Car parking is very limited

Have visited the SeaView Hotel East Preston a few times now and have left feeling I have been looked after and fed very well!! Carlo leads a great team extremely well and the food today (Easter Sunday), was top notch. Highly recommended and will be back soon!

Small hotel in a residential area close to the beach. Very modern, clean and spacious bar and outside seating area. The room was small but not cramped and was furnished in keeping with the hotels decor. There was a birthday party taking place in the evening but the staff were quietly efficient and spent an appropriate time to check us in. If there is a downside it has to be the car park. It’s small and very awkward to navigate when full - 7 spaces in two separate areas. Not however a reason to ignore this exceptional hotel.

We stayed at the Sea View for a Birthday Party. We were made very welcome on arrival and our room was lovely. Dinner and service excellent and all the staff are super friendly. We had fabulous breakfast. I would highly recommend the sea view and we will be back.

If I’ve ever had better fish and chips, I can’t remember and I’m in my eighth decade. Great fish, batter, chips, peas and homemade tartar sauce. Very reasonable price, too. Good range of beers and pleasant service. The hotel is just a few yards from a long beach.
