There is ongoing work to improve the hotel. The pool is round the back but didn't use it. Breakfast was good. It was quiet season so think we were the only ones staying so unfair to judge too harshly. There was a wasp nest a few metres from the room but didn't worry us as it is Sri Lanka after all. Staff were very friendly.

Excellent Stay
Excellent stay, large clean comfortable room with balcony. Very friendly staff with local knowledge and contacts to book surf lessons. Lovely pool onsite and a short walk to the beach front which means the resort is nice and quiet. Overall a great stay would highly recommend. Thank you

My stay at Paddyway Hotel in Arugam Bay was exceptional. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the hotel had a relaxing vibe. A big thanks to Ali for his excellent service—always helpful, kind, and attentive. He made sure everything was perfect and truly enhanced my experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Finding quality accommodation for a family in Arugam Bay is tricky. While this hotel is new and has good sized Family Rooms with balconies, service and other facilities are mediocre.
Staff are unorganised, pool was not very clean, had to ask for wifi and tv to be fixed.
On checkout, was told ‘card machine was not working’ - and we would have to pay in cash. This is a common ‘scam’ in Sri Lanka - the hotel wants to avoid the card fees from the bank, which I do understand.
Overall an ‘ok’ stay but not great.

Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and the pool was well maintained. Great for families with kids since it is a brief walk from the Main Street in Arugambay.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Paddyway. We did a six day surf camp and our instructor Jemsen was incredibly helpful. I feel like we both saw a lot of progression in the 6 days. We had breakfast at Paddyway every morning and it was always delicious. The staff was very helpful. Even when we did an early surf, they would give us fruit to go and breakfast whenever we came back. We attended two yoga classes as part of our surf camp and they were very helpful to our muscular recovery. Our room was gorgeous. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and when we first came into the room, it was already cool from the AC and it smelled absolutely amazing. They really did a great job of providing a luxurious experience. We also loved having our own WiFi in our room. The connection was always working unlike other places in town. We had a memorable stay and are very grateful to the incredible staff and instructors!

we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and provided all the comforts of home. The highlight of our trip was definitely the stunning swimming pools, where we spent hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. The resorts amenities were top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. And the foods were amazing

A nice, clean, spacious rooms in a lovely garden setting. Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and memorable! I highly recommend.
