Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, and included snorkelling gear, iron and a coffee machine. Great facilities, right on the water.

I wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone, unfortunately the weather wasn't the best which is unfortunate, however the room i had wasn't up to scratch mould on light fittings etc the food wasn't worth rating at all. They couldn't even find the right info for my transfer. We moved onto the pacific resort 10 out of 10 for this one. I will never return

I wouldn't call this a sanctuary at all. The amount of mosquitoes while waiting at the reception / bar should have been our first clue that this wasn't going to be a pleasant experience (we had been at other accommodation and not spotted 1 mosquito) Considering that there have been cases of dengue fever in Raro recently I would have thought measures would have been taken to minimise the amount of mozzies. Our room was very dated, I understand the wall and ceiling thatching is supposed to give an authentic feel, but it's really not. The fabric lampshade on the wall was mouldy as were the loungers outside. The curtains reached about 20cm from the floor, like they'd just cut off the mouldy bottom and re-hemed them. The shower was dated and mouldy and there were dead ants in the corner on the floor (I guess thats better than live ones!). When we went up to the restaurant to get an early lunch we were told by a rather unfriendly lady that the kitchen opens at 11 (It was 11.10) and only when the chef happened to walk out and hear the conversation he said, yes the kitchen is open. The club sandwiches we had were very nice. The pool was clean and peaceful, with people happily reading and sunbathing. I wish i'd taken photos as the website does not accurately represent the accommodation.

The adults only resort was much nicer and calmer than the Rarotongan Resort next door. Lovely clean pool, excellent cocktails and mocktails and really happy friendly staff. We arrived on the 7am Jetstar flight and were welcomed and given breakfast albeit in the Rarotongan where noisy children ran amok! Our rooms were made available as soon as possible but we were able to use all the facilities of the resort until then . Beautiful rooms with a view of the private beach. Kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear available for use. We loved the sand floor dining area! Aquila the manager was a beautiful man who had a gentle caring low key approach to his guests and was genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our stay and has only recently taken over so is gradually trying to make changes to improve ones stay. Only main criticism was that the food was probably only average overall but the umu oven feast that came with the drum and dance show was excellent!

This hotel was perfect for a week away in Raro. Amazing location for snorkelling (right from the hotel!) and within seconds you can see the most beautiful fish. The room was a great size for two people with everything you’d ever need including a fridge and air con. The hotel provides everything you need to including towels, robes, snorkelling gear and kayaks/SUPs which are all free. The staff were super friendly and helpful too and made the trip extra special. I can’t wait to come back!
