Fijne locatie. Kamer is prima, netjes maar zeker niet luxe te noemen. Het hotel blijkt veel Asielzoekers onderdak te bieden. Dit wordt nergens benoemd. Wanneer je dit aangeeft bij de receptie of later via e-mail informeert krijg je geen duidelijke informatie. Wanneer ik dit geweten had, had ik nooit geboekt.

De locatie is geschikt om af te spreken met iemand elders uit het land, anders zou ik er niet heen gaan. Gedateerd interieur en dito toiletten. Ik was er om een hapje te eten. Ontvangen door vriendelijk, jong personeel. Menukaart is beperkt. De kwaliteit van de bestelde Caesarsalade is matig, er zat gekookt ei in met zwarte randjes, en staat in geen verhouding tot de prijs van €19, die beduidend hoger is dan elders in deze regio. Bij het afrekenen bleek de ober alleen Engels te spreken, dat zijn we aan deze kant van het land niet gewend.

Not a s../ hole exactly, but definitely not a premium experience. If not for the miracle of Google maps there would be no chance of finding this place from the main road. It looks like a Norman Bates hotel from the outside. On check-in I had to wait 15 minutes for the front desk to try to issue a key because they could not figure out how to use a computer. They finally let me into the room with a master key. The hotel restaurant is not great. I wasn’t expecting great food quality, but the service model is kind of nuts. The tangle next to me walked out because they thought the server forgot about them. Twice the server took a drink order and had to be reminded to follow through. Then the payment system is nuts. Everyone had to pay at the bar, so the bar had no time to serve drinks. The room is quite basic, not even a table next to the bed. I give it two stars only because the bartender introduced me to Affligem Blonde, which is an acceptable substitute for Leffe Blonde. Just as I am writing this a second group is walking out due to slow service at the restaurant.

Alles was matig: de bediening nam de bestellingen verkeerd op, de bestelling voor een t****e glas Sauvignon werd een Chardonnay, lang lang wachten op de t****e gang, een taaie diamanthaas en toch 92 euro kwijt. Ambiance: jaren ‘80. Te vermijden dus.

Op weg naar huis, na een supervakantie, ff een hapje eten. Wat een klantonvriendelijkheid bij het vragen van een tafeltje voor 2: verblijft u in het hotel? Nee. Heeft u gereserveerd? Nee. Wij: als het niet past moet u het zeggen… Zoek maar een tafeltje met een hoofd als een oorwurm. Rechts omkeert en advies: doorrijden!!
