Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas - Arlington

We can confirm the bad issues on previous reviews. We were a part of a family reunion and Rangers baseball game for a party of 30 who all stayed here. Overall Property- 1. Whole interior (unclean, worn out items) and exterior (paint, weeds, rubbish) building and grounds are rundown. 2. Completely full 30ft roll-off trash dumpster on north side parking lot that is viewable from rooms. Late night noise of dumping or rifling through trash. 3. SAFETY ISSUE!!! One of north doors does not have automatic closure. I found it open multiple times day and night and had to close it myself. 4. Hallway carpet stains and not vacuumed. 5. Slow elevator, faster to take stairs. 6. Under new Hilton appointed managers for the past several weeks. Crystal was brought in to get the property turned around. Front desk was accommodating with each interaction. 7. Men's lobby bathroom is warm. 8. Used the trolley/bus shuttle to Six Flags and Globe Life Field. Due to the heat, we were waiting indoors to board the trolley. It barely stopped and then took off causing a 'younger' family member to have to chase it down to stop out on the roadway. It doesn't always follow posted pu/do times. It depends on numbers of patrons being picked up at attractions. 9. Best thing going was the free breakfast each morning. Ms Peggy and the crew kept the food fresh and hot/cold and re-stocked. 10. The lobby and large seating area across from the breakfast area appears to be updated and was comfortable. -Room 310-2br suite *Dirty stove. *Refrigerator door installed backwards. *Outdated and old furniture. *No in-room safe. *Bedside light did not work. *Trash under bed. *Windows not fully closeable or lockable allowing outdoor noise seepage. I'd be leery of downstairs windows if the same as upstairs. (POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE) *One of the bathroom lights had a bad ballast, light not working, leaving bathroom dark and unusable. Maintenance repaired next day but cracked the light cover during replacement and left it. *Tub and tile grout had molded grout. *Toilet paper holder broken *Shower curtain rod was bent downward, support pulled down from wall. *Electrical outlet not working outside of bathroom. *One bedroom door would not latch closed. *Towel rack in other bathroom was pulled down from wall. *Dirty carpeting in all rooms. Not vacuumed in a long time. *BR sitting area tv was placed in front of thermostat. *Another family member had to switch rooms due to a/c not functioning.

Stayed here for the night while we attended the AC/DC concert at the AT&T stadium and it was better than expected after reading the reviews before staying. Booked the stay with points and concidering the cost of hotels in the area for the night of the concert it was a bargain. All hotels were charging $350 upwards for the night. Pro's: Really informative and helpful staff, as we didn't know the area they really helped with information about how to get to the stadium. Room was very big and really comfy beds, room also had a microwave and fridge and freezer in the kitchen area. Free parking. Walkable to and from the AT&T stadium, took about 30 minutes to reach the Lowes complex. Again, really helpful and friendly staff. Cons: Hotel is showing signs of age and the rooms are a bit dated but this is just cosmetic, however beds and sofas were really comfy. Hotel is undergoing a refurb but to be fair we didn't hear anything and the only slight issue was a tremedous amount of tiny bits of Polystyrene flying around outside but the builders were doing there best to tidy it up but the wind was working against them. Myself and the family would stay here again if we are ever attending the AT&T stadium again.

This hotel is not in a nice area. We thought being near 6 flags would be cool. The front desk staff was very nice; however, the room smelled like old food, and the closet door was broken. We checked out to find a nicer hotel. This place should be categorized as a motel.

Nice staff at checking. Called the front desk a few times late at night, but couldn’t get anyone, but in person, staff was helpful
