Accommodation is terrible, there's no way this is a 4 star hotel. Tells you everything when a hotel displays a hotel award certificate from 9 years ago in the lobby. Majority of the staff are rude apart from reception, just unhappy, unhelpful and poor manners. You are not allowed to eat or drink anything that wasn't bought at the hotel unless you're in your room, which is ridiculous considering they only have a snack bar, so the only take away options are beer, water and small tubes of pringles, they come round regularly to check... I've never experienced anything like this before, customer experience isn't top of their list, we had other people in other hotels and this didn't happen there. They try to make as much money as possible, so much so that their welcome message when checking in is that you have tea, coffee and milk included in your stay as if I don't get that at a travel lodge, they give you the same carton of milk you see in every hotel but 1 each and 1 small coffee sachet each. We only had green tea so went down to reception to get English breakfast tea, got sent to the snack bar then back to reception and had to wait 20 minutes as there was a queue. We also had breakfast included, I struggle to eat early, so I made a sandwich to wrap up so I could eat it later on... got stopped by one of the staff members telling me I couldn't take it (I'd fully understand if I was taking a lot with me but one sandwich) I explained the situation and he said he'll have to pit it in the bin. The noise level is abysmal, the doors are soft close but when the door closes the latch makes a massive noise so when the first person in you corridor is a awake then the whole row is, waking up at 5/6am when you're there for a relaxing holiday isn't great. They list the rooms as "superior" there was nothing superior about the first room we were in, it was tiny. We asked to switch rooms but nothing available for a few days, which we had to pay for in cash which I thought was very strange, I assume either they're avoiding tax or the staff want to pocket it... who knows. The first few days we were there, there was no music by the pool so everything was silent, after few days the music was on. The have mini waterfalls in the pool that they only turn on for 10 minutes every 2 hours, the atmosphere is dead. Positive points, the food is cheap and very decent portions. The maids do a very good job the hotel is cleaned every day. Overall who ever give this 4 stars needs to revisit, I've stayed in loads of 3,4 and 5 star hotel and I would say this is on par with a 3 star, considering the price we paid, it wasn't worth it.
