Nice rustic Inn with beautiful and tranquil views of the bay. Breakfast was excellent and worth eating at the lodge. Our first night we stayed in room #6 and the bed was not very comfortable- creaked whenever you moved. The next night we were upgraded to the outdoor cottages at an extra charge which was worth it for us. The cottages are super quaint- spacious with a little kitchen and sitting area inside and outside. Bed was súper comfortable. The property is quiet and lovely.

My husband and I spent our last night at this lovely secluded inn before heading to the CAT ferry in Yarmouth the following morning. This place is a gem! I enjoyed a stroll through their small garden, sitting on their wide porch reading my book, admiring the water view as the sun set. We had a lovely dinner.

Ye Olde Argyler is in a beautiful scenic spot on Lobster Bay. WE sat out front to see the sunset and drink a glass of wine. However, that was the highlight. We stayed in a room that didn't face the sea, which is fair as there are only a few that do, and only had a small window. Room comfortable but dark and small.Staff attentive. Breakfast a bit pricey ($18 CAD) but you are pretty isolated here and would have had to drive awhile to get to an alternative. If you're not spending time in your room, this is a nice place to stay due to the view and grounds.

Beautiful location on Lobster Bay. We enjoyed the quiet, sea views and comfortable room. Dinner and breakfasts were delicious, and nicely presented by friendly staff. Great place to stay if you are visiting the Acadian Village in Lower Pubnico.

We stayed in the sea shanty cottage. We loved the view. The cottage is rustic and as it faces the waterfront, we thought it lacked privacy. Anyone can and does walk past the front of the cottage. It was large enough but we felt it was a bit too cluttered with furniture. We thought the place was a bit tired and we had read so many good reviews about the food, felt somewhat underwhelmed. We thought the dining was not up to the expectations built up by previous reviews. The air conditioning is very loud. We did not think this was as luxurious as we thought it would be.

The lodge is ideal for a night while driving through the area, offering a nice rest and beautiful views! Our room felt a bit cramped (compared to similar priced venues throughout our trip), but served the purpose just fine. The restaurant could be improved, e.g. no canadian red wines on the menu, or a bit extended dinner times, given there is not much around in the vicinity. However, staff was friendly and we felt very welcome.

Wonderful lodge, great hosts! Very comfortable accommodations, comfy beds, incredible hospitality. Everyone was warm and welcoming, great service. The breakfasts were tasty, good choices each morning, fresh baked bread. A porch over looking Lobster Bay, beautiful sunsets.

Stayed here for two nights whilst on holiday from the U.K. Beautiful peaceful location, lovely food and friendly service. Have their own kitchen garden.to produce fruit, vegetables and herbs..Thanks so much Jamie for showing us around.
