From the minute we were greeted in the lobby with fresh made lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries to the pristine room everything was perfect! I usually don’t write a review before I have tried the breakfast but I am so overwhelmed with the quality and service that I just couldn’t wait. The room is beautiful and spacious. Fresh linen and bath towels. A stocked mini bar that is complimentary which in itself it highly unusual. Little packets of sweet toasted almonds awaited us in the room and the shower was amazing too! Everything in the room was of the highest quality it felt like a five star hotel even though the price was very reasonable.

10/10 Hotel
This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff were so accommodating.
The breakfast and coffee were delicious — pancakes were our favorite!
The hotel was within walking distance of the plaza, where there are plenty of cute stores, restaurants, and gelato shops.
You might even spot sea turtles by the boardwalk.

Loved this property. The owner was fabulous. Provided lots of good options for things to do on the island. The propery was lovely and very well-appointed. Breakfast was included and delicious with more-than generous portions. We would highly reccommend this accomodation to anyone traveling to the area.

Beautiful boutique hotel with breakfast
The modernization of this old property is incredible. It still keeps all of its charm without being too flashy. Welcome gifts waited in the room for me with handwritten notes. Walk to town in 2-3 minutes. Could not recommend more.

A little gem in the heart of Argostoli. Set just a couple of streets back from the main shopping area this lovely modern hotel is a great find. The rooms are clean modern and comfortable. And town is a two minute stroll away. I was very impressed with the hotel it was a little bit of luxury for the start of our holiday. Lovely toiletries for you in the bathroom which I have to say was stunning. Beds very comfy.a small balcony over looking the town mountains and bay. And breakfast was just wow! Fresh delicious and plentiful!

View of acropolis from my room was beautiful. The room deck bar was busy & fun with a gorgeous view of acropolis and city. The staff was very helpful and gave a great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend!

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the Essence Suites were. The staff were there to greet us upon arrival and we were treated to a fresh lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries. We were giving your advice and maps for Kefalonia before being shown to our immaculate room. Our breakfast out by the pool each morning was fresh and delicious. We cannot wait to stay here again in the future!

I’m not going to repeat everything which gkace said in the inaugural review for this wonderful hotel, and I agree with all of it, wholeheartedly. The only shame is we got to only stay 2 nights; this is one of my favourite ever hotels; more expensive than we usually stay in but well worthwhile. The bathroom is the most impressive I’ve seen in a hotel, with a cavernous bath, which is rare indeed. Several warnings; as per gkace comments about breakfast - we have big appetites, but if you choose two options from the 4 they suggest , you will get a very large breakfast, choose three and you get a very very large breakfast; choose four, and you’re in man vs food territory! It’s all delicious, but I hate to send back food cause I’ve ordered too much. The other point is about the pool / area; it’s lovely but it’s small; perfect for cooling down after a hot busy day, but not a place you’re going to sunbathe in for hours, if at all. Overall though really loved it !
