Ionian Vista Villas

Lovely location for sure. Step inside the villa and that’s where it starts to go wrong. Firstly it’s not a villa. It’s a small 2 bedroom house with a paddling pool. The internet didn’t work when we arrived (that was fixed quickly). The air conditioning wasn’t working and we were given 2 inefficient electric radiators. (That’s still not working after 4 days). It gets so cold at night. It’s cheaper to provide guests with radiators than turning on the air conditioning unit. Cost of doing business hit Greece as well. The kitchen is so basic you can’t do anything in it. Missing ustensiles, cheap furniture falling apart and the shower quality (when there is hot water) is appalling. Low pressure and outdated. There is CCTV as well in the garden so the owner can watch guests. Didn’t look for hidden cameras inside the house so I can’t say. Breakfast is included. For that you have to walk in town down hill on inexistent or broken footpaths with cars driving centimetres from you. Once you get to the hotel the breakfast is an insult to Greek cuisine. Mostly microwaved pastries filled with processed meat, cereals and only unhealthy gluten free options. Then you have to go back up hill to get back to the property. That’s good exercise so I don’t mind. I’m writing this as I’m waiting for the hot shower to be fixed. Best going for air b and b. Not worth more that €150 a night

Wonderful accommodation and a great location to be based to explore the island . Very clean with lovely pool areas. Views from the balconies were fabulous Staff were there to greet us and were very friendly and helpful Breakfast in the sister hotel was an added bonus

We loved it! The apartment was very nice with great views on both sides. The pool was nicer than we expected and is hardly used by guests. You either need a car or are happy walking up and down lots of hills though it’s only 15 minutes to walk down to the town or the nearest beach. There are a couple of short cuts you can take to shorten the walk to the beach that you can see from the back balcony. All in all it was a very positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or come back again sometime.
