My family & I stayed at the Meliá from the 20th to the 27th of July . This was our second visit as we went for a week last year . Reception were more efficient than last year , unfortunately unlike last year we arrived before 3 & were able to check in , this year we had to wait until 3. We booked 2 interconnecting premium rooms . Our rooms were 229 & 230. The view like last year was incredible . The view from this hotel is truly breathtaking. It never ceases to amaze us . My daughter’s room wasn’t as clean as it should have been & she told reception about this , including taking photos . Reception said they would contact housekeeping & arrange for the room to be cleaned again . On 2 occasions this didn’t happen . Whether reception or housekeeping were at fault who knows . The breakfast in the main restaurant was average . The choice of fruits , yogurts & eggs could be improved . This restaurant is high up & has the most amazing views too . The staff in this restaurant are good & look after you well . We ate in the Italian & Fish restaurant & both were excellent food , in particular the fish restaurant, Cape Nao . The fish restaurant on the beach which belongs to the hotel isn’t as good as the service is appalling . It’s a shame as the food is quite good . The hotels pool is old fashioned & could probably do with a makeover . The hotel has a spa & an outside & indoor gym . The concierge are very good & efficient. We will definitely return to the Melia as it has a relaxed & serene atmosphere & we can’t get enough of the view . We would recommend this to family & friends.
